A tense episode no doubt, though mostly filler delaying the inevitable cataclysm. Good acting from the cast and a few well put together dialogue exchanges.

A shark well and truly jumped!

The opening two minute dialogue rips up everything preceding and is deeply disrespectful to the audience! Aside from it being inconceivable in any universe, it should have been revealed earlier making this a two/three episode drama.
Getting past the outrage, Michelle Dockery and Rupert Friend are superb despite this travesty and the creative camera-craft capturing them in court works well.
I will unenthusiastically watch the irredeemable last instalment - my personal sunk cost fallacy.
