What the fork was that?

This series was recommend on Netflix. It started off so promising. I am mystified by the ending. Any information Sophie shared would be considered hearsay without any direct evidence. Having two high ranking government officials arrested is just asinine. And the twist, utterly ridiculous.

Mediocre

This was a mediocre mini series. With a very wishy washy plot line. The final episode just dropped off a cliff with absolutely no real conclusions. Very disappointing. Don't waste your time.

Dodged another bullet!

Not unexpectedly, this final episode is a masterwork in how to completely wreck a series. Four episodes of decent drama followed by a penultimate edition that explodes everything, it was inevitable the finale top that with this ludicrous blancmange.

Good series. Ridiculous ending ruined it!

Warning: Spoilers
It was a great show with excellent writing and twists that kept us guessing but ending is garbage. Do you really expect me to believe that this woman will trash her marriage/family/children's future because her husband didn't tell her the whole truth until the last episode. Then she weaponizes it in the press for some the of political move? So stupid. I was fine with the tragic ending where the jerk gets off based on the merits of the case, but come on man!

Henrik Ibsen, Come on Down!

Warning: Spoilers
That last scene between James and Sophie was right out of Isben's "A Doll's House." The dialogue (admittedly, in translation) was almost word for word as I remember it. Like Nora, Sophie has to leave her husband to find out who she is. I'm giving this five stars because i stuck with it, even though I spent a lot of time in the kitchen.

Preposterous ending

Warning: Spoilers
Who signed off on this ending?

The show was fine and would have ended nicely without the ending balcony revenge-fantasy scene.

David E Kelley is an attorney and should know that a 20 year old case based solely on hearsay evidence and no physical evidence would go nowhere, especially against a prime minister and cabinet member.

Two possible endings only: the men go down, but Kate is disgraced and disbarred, and Sophie loses all life privileges for her family.

Or the more likely ending, no balcony scene, life goes on, all parties are guilty of something, but no one can/will blab about it. This is reality.

We get the feminist message: all men are incompetent pigs, all women are victims, all women are heroes, women are superior, smug, and self-righteous.

Insulting to all. Especially to those who watched till the end.

Why you need to destroy all with this progress?
alonabalt17 April 2022
Why why is all this righteous attitude?

Why all of this artificial feminine empowerment? Why always men think that we the women need help to be strong? That we the women are fragile and we are always the victim and more moral,no, we are a human being, then we are like men, calculating and when something can ruin our children life ,we don't do it just for feel good.

30 min too long
Calicodreamin8 May 2022
I find major fault in this episode in that it's 30 minutes too long, cheapening the message and trying to be too crowd pleasing. Message gets lost in all the filler.
