Kinky debut. Acting can happen in porn.

Finally! Finally I watched Keli McCarthy's debut in porn. I've been a fan of hers since the days of "Talk Sex" and specially "Girl To Girl" which is by the way my favorite Keli soft core flick (oh that last kinky and long sex scene when she gets pounded in the butt during doggy style...).

"Faithless" has a very dramatic plot that deals with a super hot mother who falls in lust with her daughter's boyfriend. But as a drama plot, it perfectly works as a naughty creation in order to awaken your most kinky thoughts.

The film features plenty of sex that deals with woman-man and woman-woman. To be honest, I only watched this because of Keli. She's 40 but her body looks late 20's! She had an obvious breast surgery but she looks spectacular. Her sex scenes are long, steamy and she really knows how to act on them (believe it or not, acting happens on porn).

There are two moments that got inserted in my mental memory card. One deals with sex scene where Keli is somewhat forced to perform a blowjob and later getting it from behind. The scene is hot but it was supposed to be harsh, sad, and even to feel like pity for her.

The other one is a sex scene near the ending where Keli performs really hot and provocative. She rides while touching and moving her large breasts and she really performs sexy gestures. She is the main reason to watch the movie. The movie has an outdoor sex sequence and a car sex setting.

This effort was great in terms of quality and quantity. I wonder if Keli will continue to produce movies in the porn industry.

I heard of the film on the grapevine and rented it out of curiosity. That a mainstream actress would be involved in an adult film was intriguing. I hadn't gotten the whole lowdown on the film and was skeptical that she would actually perform sex in the flick. Thought she would have a non-performing role. To my surprise and pleasure she actually does. When I was a younger man I had a strong attraction to older women. They had an allure to me. Being a little bit older now I was impressed with her performance. Especially considering that Daisy Marie, a much younger woman, is in the cast. The film has a good story and plot. Not often the case with porn. After seeing the movie I did some research on Ms. McCarty and learned that just prior to making the transition to adult features she had separated from her husband. This is just speculation on my part, but perhaps she was trying to prove to him that she still has what it takes. Boy, does she ever! It would be interesting if other mainstream actresses

Faithless, plot less, pointless

I often thought of Kelli McCarty as Susan Lucci with a boob job, the former Miss USA from the Passions soap opera and a series of Fred Olen Ray soft core movies. She has one big standout scene in the film where she's forced into the act by husband Danny after their daughter Sarah interrupts them while they're "stuck together" so to speak. Voodoo plays the daughter's boyfriend Kelli pursues into a couple of affairs lacking climactic impact. Really, Voodoo is not my favorite lead in adult cinema. I think he gets the best parts because he and his wife Nichole Sheridan are always the first to accept them. James Deen and Hershel Savage are underutilized. Savage has a small cameo and Deen should have had Voodoo's part to give me a break from tattoos and ear rings. Deen's hard-faced partner also was missing some excitement.

Poor XXX soap opera

The strengths and limitations of Paul Thomas as a director are evident in "Faithless", a very dull Vivid Video vehicle for soft porn star Kelli McCarty, showcased in a one-shot attempt at hardcore porn.

PT delivers intense XXX sex scenes that have the cast demonstrating an urgency that is artificial: sex workers hard at their craft. The paper- thin characters they play and cornball, uninteresting story elements make for a poor attempt at what I term Lifestyle Porn (portraying a subculture's way of life, rather than any narrative progression).

McCarty is the central figure, overacting as Steven St. Croix's wife and stepmother to luscious Daisy Marie. Most of the action revolves around the 2 women's jealousy and hatred for each other, but the script by "Duane" never develops this hook, just using it as a gimmick for angry scenes.

Movie slips into triteness as McCarty immediately makes a play for her step-kid's boyfriend, effortlessly played by Voodoo in the feature's only acceptable performance. That's because PT seems overly interested in the sexual performances, neglecting the dramaturgy and characterization that provide a balance in his best Adult films.

Hubby Steven is cheating on McCarty with his best friend's wife Kelly Leigh, who seems to have been cast merely on the basis of her first name matching that of the heroine's. Leigh is unattractive and unappealing here, just around for gonzo filler. And Herschel Savage as her husband has literally nothing to do.

Completing the movie's emptiness is James Deen as Voodoo's e constantly irritating pal, giving his usual lousy performance. Jennifer Dark as his sack-mate brings Euro porn content to the project (think: effortless anal sex) while reverting to asinine pornspeak (in English, no less) at the first opportunity.

Film's structure is poor, with nearly the entire show in a "one month earlier" flashback, and the opening tease of a sex scene regurgitated over again at the end, both times strictly soft-core, as if we were suddenly watching the Pay-Cable (Playboy Channel) bowdlerized version of the movie.

PT's ability to construct interesting compositions (notable is his repeated use of a natural split-screen effect in several scenes upstairs at Steven's home where his two ladies McCarty and Daisy are framed separately in bedrooms at either side of the screen) and riding herd on the power of the sex scenes is impressive, but in support of an ill- conceived project.

Very Disappointing version on the Playboy Channel

I tried to watch this flick with my fast forward key, but could not find a single scene involving Kelli McCarty where she does anything more than expose her bosom. She seems to be involved in nary one erotic tryst, although there is a fair amount of hard core action, albeit heterosexual only. Apparently, since I saw the cut provided by the Playboy Channel, the salacious stuff may have been bowdlerized, since the other reviewer described two scenes with the former Miss USA, one in which she is raped. Perhaps my least favorite male porn star, Steven St. Croix, is in the cast, further degrading this 1:10 version. I didn't see Herschel Savage, one of my favorite male performers, who is listed as a player. At least the setting was nice, apparently somewhere in the Bahamas, and I always enjoy works by director Paul Thomas.
