Decent episode, amazing makeup.

Francis (Frank) joins the world of online dating.

I was expecting this one to be the classic of the series, I can't help but saying I was a little bit disappointing that with this episode, it did make me chuckle, it had some amusing moments, but a classic? No, it is one of the more average episodes.

On the plus side, Susie Blake is always a very competent comedy actress, remember how cutting she was as the announcer on The Victoria Wood show, they could have made her a bit more daring. The major highlight being the makeup, Mack was virtually unrecognisable.

It might be an episode that improves with time, on first watch, it's a 6/10.

Warning: Spoilers
Lee's dad Frank has been dating a woman called Carol for some time. He is contemplating getting engaged to her.

When Lee meets Carol he is mildly surprised. She is not the type of woman his dad goes for. Carol does not drink alcohol for a start and she owns a large house.

A suspicious Lee goes on the same dating site that his dad used to meet Carol. Lee arranges a date with her.

A disguised Lee finds himself surprised as he gets up close and personal with Carol.

I sort of knew once the special makeup lady was introduced at the beginning of the episode. Lee might end up using her. I thought the old man disguise worked well on Lee.

It really was a case of whether Carol was all she cracked up to be. I did think Carol was looking for a menage a trois and it would be Frank waiting in the bedroom.

Although amusing it is another episode that has not been up to its usual standards.

Warning: Spoilers
This episode had a good premise, but the scene between Lee and Carol at her house before the big reveal was excruciatingly long, and after a time, unfunny.

I kept skipping through it on IPlayer, hoping it would end, but it just seemed to go on and on.

Not great overall.
