Dam Straight !
southdavid2 March 2022
And so we arrive at the penultimate episode of the series, just as the Robinsons themselves finally arrive at Alpha Centauri. The re-establishment of the rest of the wider cast, including a couple we've not seen in quite a while comes with a return for one or two bits of questionable logic, though it doesn't totally derail the episode.

Anticipating a race to inform the colony of SAR's impending arrival, the family are confused to arrive with seemingly no sign of the robots. As Will (Maxwell Jenkins) goes for emergency surgery the rest of the family look to establish any defences they can muster. When the Robot (Brian Steele) seemingly goes off on his own, Penny (Mina Sundwall), Judy (Taylor Russell) and Don (Ignacio Serricchio) track him to the nearby dam that provides most of the power to the small community.

Finally arriving at the colony gives us the first element of the episode that didn't ring true to me. I get that the Robinsons are used to being in control, but they literally walk into to this established community and, within their first 10 minutes, just take over. The arrival at the colony gives us a chance to see a couple of old characters again. Ben Adler, played by JJ Feild is show in flashback and we get a nice moment when Will gets to tell his family that he was a hero, which to my recollection is a bit selective, but it's at least true of his demise. We also get to see Hastings again, played by Douglas Hodge, who is imprisoned on Alpha Centauri for trying to abandon the rest of the colonists and is no less conniving than he was previously.

My other issue with the episode, trying to keep it spoiler free, was the reaction to what happens to the other robots - they act as if they'll definitely have died in what happens, rather than just have been inconvenienced.

Those issues though don't derail another solid episode, just one more left.

Oh ,stop whining

I am a guy ,i can't stand anything too woke, but as a guy who grow up watching to characters like Beka Valentine,Kira Neris or Captain Janeway ,i must say some people forgot those kind of characters were always there and then nobody seemed to be deranged by them .That is a good episode and deserves more than 1 or 3 stars because two or three guys are saying is too woke. The male characters are not dumb ,they are very likeable , not like the ones from Star Trek Discovery .

Read your passwords out loud!

The fact that in the future, passphrases to activate global defense systems will be read aloud to a large room full of employees is pretty visionary! The scriptwriters should get a raise for that.

The most smug and annoying family ever
JamesR197327 February 2022
Warning: Spoilers
I know the premise of the series is that the Robinsons' are this brilliant family that work together to solve stuff - but hell, they are so arrogant and annoying.

Their instantaneous analysis of everything and presumption of taking control after only being on the planet for 5 seconds was just ridiculous.

How on earth Will survived that spike to the heart in the previous episode is still beyond me.

How did the others even survive on the planet without the Robinsons
wildsnow905 December 2021
Ok, drop the youngest off, he'll be fine the doc says and off to save the world go the parents. Supergirl #1, Maureen, with 1 second of analysis, is able to determine there's too much power being generated and therefore there must be a defensive system, that no one else knows about. Might as well have kicked Sebastain in his know nothing head. Later, we get Supergirl #2, Judy, stating "I'm the only one here qualified to do it"....kicking Don in the balls. And lastly, boyfriend #1 or #2, not sure where he stands yet, tossing tons of compliments at the remaining female lead, Penny. Too many woke Hollywood writers want strong women, yet can't seem to pull it off without belittling the men. Just look at the last 3 Star Wars films as reference.

Jumped the Shark
ohroonoko14 December 2021
SAR and the evil army of robots were badass unstoppable enemies but now they've resorted to sneaking around, sabotage and framing Robot for murder to give him a bad name with the colonists. This has to rank as one of the worst episodes of television since Fonzie jumped the shark while on vacation with the Cunninghams in California. I hope it recovers since there's only episode left and I've really enjoyed the show up until right now.
