Film Professor Lee Chambers from Confederation College in Thunder Bay, Ontario Canada has been holding the annual Make It Short Film Project since 2005. The award-winning educational event offers hundreds of people with no film experience a chance to make a 16mm film. By pairing film students and graduates with a select group of mentoring professionals, the event explore all aspects of production while making a real film that has a real cinema release. Funds raised at the world premiere screening are donated to charity. The event has even featured executive producer support from Academy Award winners such as Paul Haggis (Crash) and Denys Arcand (The Barbarian Invasion).
