- To commemorate what would have been Ennio Morricone's 92nd birthday, his closest collaborators have reunited for the first time in years at Maestro Morricone's studio in Rome.
- The idea behind Morricone Segreto, the collection released on November 6th 2020, was to reveal the secret side of Morricone's musical genius. This very concept was taken a step further by creating "Celebrating Ennio Morricone: The secrets behind his genius" a mini-documentary which premiered on YouTube on November 10th to celebrate what would have been Morricone's 92nd birthday. The mini-doc sees Morricone's life-long trusted musicians (his so-called Dream Team) reunite for the first time in years in the Forum Music Village, the studio founded by Morricone himself in 1970, where they recorded some of his most iconic scores, including the music of Morricone Segreto. His vocalist, pianist, guitarist, saxophonist and organist all set down for a listening session of the music of Morricone Segreto (from the original master tapes recovered in the historical CAM Sugar archive) and shared personal memories and insightful stories about working with Morricone throughout his glittering career. The documentary includes a very special appearance by Morricone's eldest son, Marco, who shared anecdotes about the more hidden and personal side of his father's work. Morricone Segreto is a treasure trove of rare and forgotten pieces and alternate takes from the historical archives of CAM Sugar. Morricone Segreto explores what is possibly Morricone's richest creative period, between the end of the 1960s to the early 80s, demonstrating his long-lasting influence on generations of musicians and film directors to this day.
