I picked up the title due to the 56K, it brings back some nostalgia from those days, and what a great surprise. A good, simple story that almost everybody connect to. Really enjoyed Daniel friends, I guess everybody had those 2 best friends, I know I had :) The scenes and plot are well placed, the actors are deeply in the characters. Hope for season 2!

I was there to listen to Italian as I love the language. I was pleasantly surprised and really enjoyed this light and heartwarming series.
When I watched the preview, I thought it was going to be one of those 'awkward feeling' series with the whole teenagers in the 80s bit. But no, on the contrary, it was bubbly, light, and genuine.
The ambiance of this little town in Italy is so pleasant. The characters are fun and the script well written. It felt as if they were not acting, it was just normal passionate Italian conversations:)
All in all, a nice way to spend a few hours, feel a bit nostalgic if you lived in the 80s, and enjoy a nice light romantic series.

If all Italian series were like this, Italy would surpass Korea in terms of drama.
Short episodes full of events. Not a minute is wasted on useless things. The pace is fast. The story is compelling. The acting is perfect. The characters are great. I don't often give such high ratings, but this series, despite it has some kind of flawes obviously as anything else, has the great advantage of bringing happiness with it.

This is a delight. You'll be mad because you will be waiting for the second season. As I do. The acting is perfect, with short episodes, with a light and believable story, well told and charmfully filmed. Great OST. Nothing silly, nothing dull. Pure heart and memories from the past decades. This is a must see. Simply delicious.

Ah, romantic love. It happens every time. If you're
meant for each other, you're meant for each other. My heart goes to the belated lovers who only realized that they are meant for each other decades later.
It's a quaint romantic film with all the necessary ingredients. It's a simple story but it tugs at the heart; you're drawn into it and makes you think of your own love story. I wish Daniel and Mati good luck (buona fortuna) even if this is only a movie. Kudos to the writer.
I like the way the director alternates between 2 time periods. It's seamlessly done to tell the story. Short episodes but quite entertaining. Bravo!
The main characters deliver memorable performances. And the views of Naples (Napoli) with its cobblestone streets and the majestic Mt. Vesuvius in the background are simply great.
Maybe somebody could explore the functionality of the Message in a Bottle app. It might be a good business idea.

I only picked the title as I wanted to practice my Italian :), and I was pleasantly surprised.
It uses the nostalgia factor in a smart way, as it is fun, charming and fast paced. 30 minutes episodes that will keep you smiling. The characters and stories are believable and they do not dwell on stereotypes. Really recommend it. Bella Napoli :-)

I had this Italian serie on my Netflix list for a while, which, thanks, has a few chapters and short duration. I saw it from the beginning to the end in a marathon afternoon.
It's not a big production, but it has good sense of humor and it takes us back to the 80s and 90s time, when the internet was slow, intermittent, erratic but also surprising for the time.
It's another sappy, aspirational, silly story, and that doesn't take away from the fun of the characters who speak making fists... very Italian.
It's fine to hang out.

I love this show so much. Perfect for a weekend viewing!! The short episodes flowed really well. The young actors really made the show for me - especially Luca, I loved his character.

Can't tell you how much I enjoyed this. Watched in one night from Sydney, Australia, two months into a four month lockdown. It was just what I needed - a really sweet and charming series. The young cast in the 1998 scenes were just as good as the adult cast. The locations were beautiful, interesting and a welcome sight during this time when we can't travel. We need more shows like this right now. I hope they make a second series.

The biggest problem for me is that the characters have no personality whatsoever. They also don't have any normal conversation at all. The dude only characteristic is liking the movie Exterminator and the girl's personality is looking puzzled and not saying anything relevant. The plot is basic and normal for a no-brainer movie so it's acceptable.

When I choose something new to watch I just read the premise and from that I decide whether or not I should devote my time to it. I've read this show's premise like two months ago and only now I've managed to put my hands on it - and I watched it all in one evening. That's what REALLY good shows do.
Generazione 56K offers a lot to the viewer from the get-go: two timelines, memorable characters with great chemistry that you instantly fall in love with, the setting, beautiful Italy, fantastic dialogues - I honestly couldn't name one bad thing about this TV series. Well, maybe only that it plays too safe and you know almost right away what is going to happen with the main characters by the end of the season but that doesn't make the watch any less entertaining.
I recently started learning Italian but out of every piece of dialogue here I could only find a couple of phrases to remember. Hopefully, by the time season 2 of this fabulous show comes out I will have my vocabulary expanded so I would not have to rely on subtitles that much.

I was pulled into the show by its premise, and it didn't dissapoint. The nostalia for a bygone era of our youth, friendships that span a lifetime and the search for love in the digital age made this a really interesting show.
The episodes, while short, flow really well and leave a lot of questions for future seasons while also being a complete storyline in a single (unfortunately short) season.

It was definitely a great show by all aspects! Perfect acting, fantastic OST, beautiful filming locations are some of the reasons this show is a must see! Made me so nostalgic about late 90s, the clothes, the vibe, first loves!! Funny and romantic at the same time! Can't wait for season 2 (if there will be one)!!

I lived through the 1990s with Internet connection using the slow 56k dial-up modem. This brought lot of memories about waiting a long time for the modem to dial and connect with the Internet every time and for the data to be downloaded from the Internet. That was before ISDN and DSL.
The serial is marvellous in portraiting the typical Italian family atmosphere and interactions. The love story is about the "missed opportunities" and "regrets" for not taking actions or for misinterpreting the intentions and situations.
What stood out the most was the spectacular locations in Naples.
Highly recommended!

Fun and enjoyable to watch. I love that the plot shifts perfectly from the current setting to the past. The kid-parent relationships are adorable as well, it's heartwarming. The island is sooo pretty, makes me wanna travel to Napoli.
Most importantly, it's 30minutes per episode. A perfect show to watch while having your lunch break.

This is a really good series with a believable story line and best of all good actors. The story switches between the present and when the characters were in their teens. The switching is seamless and really moves the story along. Very enjoyable. The episodes are 25 minutes long but pack a lot action in those 25 minutes.
This is very bingeworthy. I watched the whole thing in two days. You won't be disappointed watching this show.

For all those millenials out there, this series will strike a chord with you.it is indeed nostalgic . The story switches from the past and the present and it all gets tied up in the end.if you are looking for a romantic comedy, this show is the one, it is heart-warming. The past storyline reminds you of your first crush and the silliness we all went through as kids..
And i love Italy and having visited Naples before, I love the setting. I read somewhere there wont be a second season,so heads up ,its a one shot.but u wont be disappointed! Sometimes there are series that gets dragged out too long, it will end up destroying the series itself. This show is short, sweet and just perfect !
