When the trailer of Ruslaan arrived, it promised an out and out action thriller with masala elements in it. Also, Ayush Sharma had done an action film Antim – The Final Truth which came post pandemic and he did gather some eyeballs for what he did in there. Hence, with his third film also belonging to the action genre, it was expected that this time around he would go the whole hog.
He has done that as well with Ruslaan, but the film arrived at select theatres and shows and primarily managed to find audiences in the interiors and at single screens. As a result of this, the first day of collections came to 1.08 crore. One just hopes though that there are jumps seen over the weekend because for many weeks now, the opening day numbers for films are hovering around 1 crore...

New Delhi, April 21 (Ians) Aayush Sharma, who is all geared up for his upcoming action entertainer ‘Ruslaan’ shared that a small-budget project like this will set up precedence in the industry that one does not need a huge amount for a successful project.
In an exclusive interaction with Ians, Aayush talked about working with a new production house and what took it so long for him to say yes to ‘Ruslaan’.
“There is always a desire to deliver the film even on a limited budget. ‘Ruslaan’, I believe, will set a precedent that producers don’t require Rs 100-200 crore to make a film. You can do it with a much lesser budget,” Aayush told Ians.
On what took him time to say yes to ‘Ruslaan’, Aayush said that the movie was in the pipeline while he was shooting ‘Antim’.

Aayush Sharma, who is awaiting the release of his upcoming film ‘Ruslaan’, has opened up on the journey behind his physical transformation in the film.
The actor’s bare-bodied look in the film has been the talk of the town since its trailer release.
Aayush put himself through a punishing schedule to not only look the part but tenaciously pull off the stunts given to him.
Talking about his fitness regime, the actor said: “This is what happens when the director says we shoot the bare-body fight in 25 days. It’s supposed to be in Azerbaijan, and we shoot at -6 degrees. Abs, which are cinematically important in reality, are the muscles that can betray you very soon. It takes time to come, a slight oversight, and your tummy is back out. Though it’s not healthy to constantly be in a six-pack condition, I try my best to stay in shape.

It appears that the ‘Bollywood’ storytellers have run out of stories to tell. So, they decided to become a story themselves. However, it is not that people are absolutely amused to hear these stories. Mind you, in this digital age with countless media houses coupled with even more social media journalism, nothing seems to be real as well as unreal. We know most of it and we assume the rest of it. The real ‘behind the scenes’ does not actually exist.
With Showtime, the audience longing to know more about what goes on behind the closed doors of Bollywood seems to be answered. So, dive deep into the tales of Bollywood – the money, the business, the glamour, the relationships, the lifestyle, the inside scoop on all of Bollywood’s best-kept secrets.

Actress Sushmita Sen, who is gearing up for ‘Aarya Antim Vaar’, has said that the pain of her titular character of Aarya Sareen feels very personal to her. The International Emmy nominated series follows the journey of its titular character, who is an independent woman putting all her might to protect her family. She joins a mafia gang in order to get revenge for her husband’s murder.
Elaborating on the same, Sushmita Sen said: “Just like I always say, playing Aarya for three seasons makes me feel her pain as if it’s my own. When we filmed the scenes where all her kids – Veer and Aaru turn against her, it broke my heart. There is a point in the series where she feels totally alone against the odds, even felt short of a family.”

Sushmita Sen says she felt like the last soldier in personal battle while shooting climax of ‘Aarya’
Actress Sushmita Sen, who is gearing up for the upcoming season of her show ‘Aarya’, has shared that she felt like she was the last soldier in her own personal battle while shooting for the climax scene in the new season. She also shared that she was fully prepared to shoot the climax and she felt that the line between Aarya and Sushmita almost got blurred.

Elaborating on the same, the actress said: “Shooting the climax scenes in Aarya’s Antim Vaar was quite a challenge for me, being a pretty emotional person. It felt like I was the last soldier in my own personal battle. I was super prepared,...

Ameesha Patel grabbed headlines talking about her sour relationship with Gadar director Anil Sharma while she also confessed that Kareena Kapoor Khan was asked to leave Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai.

The phase Salman Khan is currently going through is a rarity in Bollywood. With back-to-back duds, he has delivered Tiger 3, which, despite collecting around 275 crore, won’t be considered as the optimum potential utilization of the star who delivered a 340-crore monster in the previous part of the same franchise (Tiger Zinda Hai) back in 2017.
Yes, Tiger 3 has collected enough that if any other star’s film earned this much, you would’ve seen everyone in the industry celebrating the same. But that’s the thing: Salman Khan is not ‘any other star,’ and this is Bollywood – a place he has ruled for years.

Wendy Morgan‘s animal welfare docu-drama “Mercy” has been picked up by Los Angeles-based distributor All Channel Films, Inc. All Channel Films will represent the film, which premiered at the Awareness Film Festival in October, in the U.S. and Canada across pay and basic cable, video/DVD, VOD/SVOD, PPV and other distribution platforms.
With humans standing in for animals, “Mercy” lifts the lid on the more unpalatable side of the meat industry as told though the eyes of a pig named Mercy as she goes from a factory farm to a slaughterhouse. Maria Austin (“The Reverend and Mrs. Simpson”) plays Mercy alongside Annette Badland (“Ted Lasso”), Mark Wingett (“Quadrophenia”) and Morgan (“Mrs. Lowry and Son”), who wrote and directed the film.
“One of my goals was to bring ‘Mercy’ to North American audiences to raise awareness about the film’s disturbing but important subject matter,” said Morgan.

Universal stablemate The Boss Baby: Family Business bowed to $1 million from 313 screens. With previews, the title is tracking at $1.5 million.
