A self-referential comedy about the Pierson brothers who want to become Hollywood stars by making their own film.

As their first feature film, From Hollywood to Hollywood is an ambitious project with some respectable production values for amateur film makers the Bushaw brothers, who single-handedly produce, shoot, direct and star in a self-referential comedy about the Pierson brothers who want to become Hollywood stars by making their own film. Conceptually, there is a great deal of potential in the basic premise which contains some pretty funny scenarios and flirts with some interesting ideas, but which unfortunately is not as well-developed as it might have been. Rather than presenting the Pierson brothers' fictional screenplay "This Wells Wish" as a brief comedic gag, the Bushaws could have exploited this concept and depicted themselves in pseudo-documentary style filming From Hollywood to Hollywood – in what would have been a fictional version of "American Movie" (1999) – complete with a cast of amateur actors with regular lives struggling to make their first feature film.
