. . . in the 12th James Bond flick from Eon Production Company, FOR YOUR EYES ONLY. Melina, of course, is played by actress Carole Bouquet, whose greatly enlarged eyes (reminiscent of Dr. T.J. Eckleburg's on the Long Island billboard in THE GREAT GATSBY) pervaded all the advertising for this film. (Interestingly enough, sinus problems prevented Ms. Bouquet from BEING ABLE TO DIVE AT ALL, even though she was cast as a master diver, so all her diving scenes with James Bond had to be totally faked, but when you're a future "Miss Chanel," who cares about the little details?) Anyway, the Neptune journeyed to New Yorkl for a Pre-release publicity tour, and still makes the boat and auto show circuit to this day, according to Bond executive producer\screenwriter Michael G. Wilson.
