Memorable moments but overall slow episode
natalie-71-76792928 March 2021
This episode didn't quite meet my expectations. There were still plenty of moments that I loved, but with only 3 episodes left in the series, I was hoping for a lot more to happen. Somehow this felt like a filler episode. I love this show and all of the characters, but I'm starting to get a little tired of all of the repetitive plot lines. Debbie complaining about Lip selling the house like 10 times per episode, Veronica and her mom, and the nearly constant references to social justice issues. I appreciate what they are trying to do, but it feels so insanely forced.

Another slight complaint that I had with this episode in particular was the over the top music and editing. This may just be me, but it kept drawing me out of the scenes. I'm particularly talking about all of Debbie's scenes where they would put "all by myself" on in the background and even put her in slow motion. This show used to be able to get it's emotions and points across without any kind of extensive editing and relied only on the actor. This is what made the show so organic and unique at the beginning. I'm not sure if it's new editors or if they just wanted to try something different, but it really drew me out and reminded me that I was just watching a tv show. Again, this may just be me but I hope the final two episodes are a little more intriguing.

I hate Debbie so much!!
matttalks28 March 2021
With only two episodes left it's starting to feel like nothing terrible will happen to Debbie. She's so miserable always. She constantly puts her bulls*** on everyone else. She NEVER has to deal with the consequences of her actions. It just kills me that they aren't going to cause her to suffer like they make everyone else do when they're acting like awful people and causing trouble for everyone else. I loved this show throughout its entire run. This last season though, it feels a little heavy handed with all of the woke bs. It's like this is the last season and they've spending just as much time focusing on that stuff then the characters when this is a COMPLETELY character driven show. It's not done nearly as bad as in Most of the other stuff on tv but its still there and it feels like that it has somewhat hijacked the writing. I have no problem with social issues and stuff being in the story but if it was done properly then the story would be taken in it's organic route and those issues would be just things going on while the story is taking place rather then the story becoming those issues. Just my opinion. With two episodes left I'm just praying to thy tv gods to smite down Debbie and her bossy ,needy, bad parenting attitude. Deal with your stuff like an adult Debbie!!!

Moving on , literally moving on ...
marckline000-6731 March 2021
Debbie and Franny should be moving somewhere with the Raspberries.

Carl should be moving on into a different job , his current job just is not what it was intended to be .

Kevin and V have moved on :) Mickey and Ian have moved on to a better neighborhood and have a heated swimming pool and a comfy bed with $4 a beer at a near by convenient store.

Lip , Tami and Fred eventually will be moving on , am glad he sold his Indian, at least he got something for it , they haggled but he settled for nine grand.

Pretty much working on two properties by themselves is a hard enough task , Lip has grown up in the last few seasons , he tries , but he has a stubborn family , but by the end of the day , his family will be moving on :)

Frank will be moving on , most likely on a park bench on top of a hill .

Mickey and Kermit's bar sounds cool.

Liam eventually becomes Mayor of the southside, minus the palm trees .

Prepare for the inevitable.

Prepare for the inevitable.

This episode is getting us ready for the final.

It does not stand well alone, as it needs the entire series for context. Even so, there are some real Gallagher moments in this one, and there is not much sadness knowing it's all about to end. Good job!

A Latecomer To US 'Shameless' Says....
ex761729 March 2021
Started by binge-watching it on netflix (whenever it first appeared there) and have NOT missed an episode since then

It will obviously be HARD for even the most skillful writers to bring an end to such a popular and lengthy series, but S11. E10 started the process pretty well. It VIVIDLY rekindles many memories: moving away from home; graduating; BAD mistakes; GOOD mistakes; moving on; family deaths; FRIEND deaths, etc etc, all such changes being NOTHING more or less than just....inevitable.

Episode 11-10

Warning: Spoilers
I really feel like the series is just going through the motions at this point. I won't even talk about the ridiculous Debbie stuff, but almost everything just felt forgettable tonight.

I'm Giving this a 9 because this episode is the beginning of the end to a great series.

I'm Giving this a 9 because this episode is the beginning of the end to a great series. This season was not great with all of the political left leaning agenda. This episode was good. It's preparing us for inevitable; the Gallaghers are moving on. I like that V and Kevin are moving away and starting something new. Ian and Mickey are my favorite of course. I hope Lip finds happiness in something. He's been through hell these 11 years. I believe Frank is going to die on his own terms and we will all sob. Liam is hilarious and I'm glad he's living with Lip, Tammie, and Fred.

All by myself...
KaseyB1213 September 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Instead of allowing the audience to connect with the fear Debbie was feeling, they continually played the song "all by myself..." during her scenes. What is this? Are they trying to create a cheap meme or produce a high end TV show?

If it was the former, I'm not laughing. It really felt out of place.

The music in Shameless has always been great. They choose a beautiful soundtrack that compliments the emotions of the character.

I've never seen a scene before in the entire series where they played a song that was the literal translation of the characters feelings in such a cheesy and stupid way.

Can you imagine them doing this for any of Fiona's scenes? She had plenty of moments where she felt the loneliness of being apart from her family. It was always captured beautifully and it usually invoked emotion for the audience.

What Debbie is experiencing is a common problem people face when they grow up in a chaotic environment. It's very difficult for them to adapt to a quieter lifestyle. They need the chaos to feel normal. This is a serious issue that deserved to be portrayed as such. It could have been a relatable moment. A chance for the audience to actually feel something for Debbie!

Also the Gallagher kids have always had to pull together and work as a team through the toughest of things but somehow they are all too far up their own butts to notice that their 9 year old brother is taking care of Frank while he has DEMENTIA. Seriously! None of them felt that it might be too much responsibility for a child?

Also Fiona raised these kids and the only character that ever mentions her name is Frank?

Grrr. It's so inconsistent with what we have seen before. I just hope the finale is better.

Just Stop!!!
krgoldman-5644817 October 2021
We get it - the writers are liberals!!! Enough already! So tired of people blaming other people for their own problems! What ever happened to taking responsibility for yourself!
