It's fine, but too long
gacsogergely11 November 2021
Warning: Spoilers
I've lost interrest at 1 hour and skipped 40 minutes to fnish.

It isn't bad, it works, just doesn't happens anything to keep the interrest, despite the script is fine, the acting is passabale, the stuff that is there is ok, the kills work. The mood is just too mundane.

It also took forever to explain why the initial promise of 2 killer is not fulfilled.

I also expected the guy/s to draw a pentagram or something like that , trying to do some occult stuff going in straight lines from coast to coast.

I also wanned to make this joke: this movie is entirely unrealistic. In a world where woman can outrun a T-rex in.heels there is no waay one can not escape from a mere male human!

New wave slasher comes up short
freesquire13 March 2022
I admire the filmmakers putting a solid effort to keep the slasher subgenre alive. Unfortunately there are more shortcomings than positives though the film is watchable and a couple of the kills ok.

I think the acting was ok for an amateur unknown cast. To me there were some people miscast in their roles and would've been better served swapping characters with another.

The soundtrack missed the mark on a lot of occasions and was overbearing in spots.

Still, I like effort by the filmmakers and hope they devote themselves and hone their craft in the slasher retro-slasher category.

Not Good, Not Bad
Jefferson_Jensen14 May 2021
I rented this movie because my girlfriend and I are big fans of Cr1tikal (Charlie White) who had been promoting this on his Youtube page for months. I followed the production on Instagram and it looked promising, even boasting the participation of the same color grader who worked on "It Follows" which is a great film. This is not. It starts out decently and it looks well made, maybe a bit bright, like a soap opera. Over the course of the film it gets worse and worse. The gore FX look like wax and water dyed red in an obvious way, the script isn't great, and not a single character is more than a mere archetype or trope. Before most kills (not all, but most) there is a complete lack of build up or suspension and then the deaths kinda just happen in five seconds and are done. Overall,it's not unwatchable, but it's not worth watching again.

Magnificent
I almost slept while watching the movie until I hear the voice of Officer Greg. The acting of Officer Greg is phenomenal and overshadows the other actors themselves.

10/10 would watch Officer Greg again.

Absolute wreck of a film Warning: Spoilers
They decide to kill the main character halfway trough the film. Officer Greg was the movie and without him, it is an absolute piece of trash.

Horrible overall

Not much good going on here. The beginning was so bad, I skipped through it. Good lord, the fans of officer Greg are actually right. Sadly his was some of the best acting of the entire movie.

I know the vast majority of us are here for Charlie, but...
Seirramg12 June 2021
I actually plan to legitimately review this movie.

I, like many others I'm sure, only watched this because of Charlie. This is truly some of the worst acting I have ever seen. All of the acting was so awkward and the lines that were delivered were so unnatural. You can tell none of these actors have starred in anything else or took acting classes. And if they did, it didn't show at all. They all acted like this was their first time in front of a camera. The only sort of good actor in this was Andrew Wagenheim, and he's not even an actor, so that's saying something. This is genuinely on par with a high school film, maybe college. I don't know the budget for this film, but whatever it was, it wasn't enough to cover what they were trying to do. The "gorey" scenes were some of the worst prosthetics I've seen. Halfway through this movie, I was starting to question if this movie was actually trying to be seriously scary. I'm still bordering on whether or not this was a joke. Unfortunately, this missed the mark on being so bad it's good, this was just plain bad. I was so close to giving up halfway through, but stuck through it.

On top of this being high school level production, so many parts of this were truly nonsensical. Mainly, the death/gore scenes were just ridiculous. The killer barely uses any force and cuts off an entire hand. Also, I don't care how massive of a person you are or how you stomp on someone's face, you cannot smash someone's head like an orange with one stomp. Multiple, yeah sure maybe, but just one? Highly doubtful. Lastly, you have a guy having his face held against a fence with a belt. You can easily just...slip out from under the belt?? I don't know how else to explain this scene unless you watch it, but if you've watched it, you understand what I'm talking about.

A couple of other things that bugged me. The killer is going into the high school to try and kill everybody. It's around 30-40 people, they all run away and scream. You have around 40 people and none of you thought to band together and take on ONE dude? Even two people could have been enough to take this guy down. I understand that in a high stress situation, a lot of people have "flight" when it comes to the fight or flight response, but come on. Out of 40 individuals, no one grabbed another guy and was like "Hey, this dude only has a knife, we can take him." The second thing that bugged me was how one of the characters had no scars after 7 months later. They got slashed deep on the collarbone with nothing to show for it. (not revealing the name to try and keep it spoiler free if you're still going to attempt to watch this and care about the ending.)

One last thing. I love Charlie, I really do, but I don't know whose idea it was to make him this narcissistic. And I'm not talking about Officer Greg, I mean Charlie. I understand his promotional influence on this movie was huge and what probably drove most of the movie sales in, but everyone in the town knowing his name and the cop bawling his eyes out over him. I don't know, it just felt very..."Let's give Charlie this important role where everyone loves and respects him, because he's promoting our movie". Again, unsure of who chose to take this character direction, it could have been a mutual agreement among all parties, but it really just felt like a pandering role and felt weird. If no one else knew him and just called him "Officer" when they saw him, it wouldn't have seemed so narcissistic. I could have maybe even handled the other officer bawling his eyes out, but that role just screamed like it had a lot of self-importance to it which was off-putting.

Overall, please for everything that is holy, don't watch this movie. If you want to support Charlie, head to his Twitch stream and donate the amount of money you were about to spend to purchase this movie to him directly. I understand everyone deserves a chance, and maybe I'm being too harsh and this team could produce a decent movie with the right budget, but I just really don't have any faith in that. I would have much preferred to just hand the money directly to Charlie. Anyway, that's it, see ya.

Warning: Spoilers
Charles white aka penguinz0/MoistCr1TiKaL was the only good thing. If he was the main character this would be a 10/10. Spoilers---- He had a good death but he was barely in the movie. The rest of the movie sucked.

worst movie since dragon ball evolution
owenbuckley-5603815 May 2021
Worth the 6 bucks, but only for the laughs. Not even comically bad just bad. Id rather clip my toenails than watch this again.

Horrid acting and storyline, bad narration, cheesy characters, no real climax feeling.

Did the great reviews watch the same movie?
slesai-5556719 March 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Just terrible. The lead girl is being chased by the killer in an auditorium so she walks real slow backwards staring at the killer as she tries to get away. I wanted to yell 'Turn around and run you stupid *****' Then she uses a lighter to set the killer on fire. There is like a 6 inch square of fire on his back so he just walks real slow doing a moan/scream with his hands in the air while he burns. I wanted to yell 'Just take your frickin shirt off!' Then at the very end while looking at the carnage the sheriff sits there crying his eyes out for like 5 minutes. I watch alot of true crime shows on Investigation Discovery channel and even with way worse real crimes no cop ever cries. The sheriff should be immediately fired for extreme incompetence. I think they want to make the scene emotional but it just seemed totally stupid that a sheriff would be so unprofessional.

Anyway, don't waste your time.

Charles White Jr. delivers the performance of a lifetime
shalabodov-3299717 May 2021
We all know his name. We all know his big role as Uncredited District 8 Helper from the Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1. We all aspire to be like him. After years of anticipation and blind guessing we have been blessed with his presence as Officer Greg in a new genre classic - Last of the Grads. With this performance, Charles White transcends the meaning of the term "method acting". He blurs the line between actor and character and truly becomes the grizzled police officer struggling with depression. The man looks like a dream - 5 feet ans 6 inches(the perfect height for a man), a 6.5 inches of steel and glory, and a beard of a homeless man. And the lines, don't even get me started - "limp-dick turbo-virgin loser" is now a staple phrase in my vocabulary. By the end of the film, I screeched out the legendary "WOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! YEAAAAH BABYY!!" to celebrate the man's famed career. Unfortunately, the Oscars are infamous for ignoring horror films, thus snubbing some the best performances we have ever witnessed on the silver screen, so Charles will criminally go unnoticed by the Academy once again. All we can do now is hope Charles will once again star in a film and elevate it beyond regular cinema.

Spoilers:
jikook-1835131 May 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Overall, I think this was a fun cheesy high school slasher. Kills were great, acting was overall passable, however I think there was a lot of potential that was sadly wasted. Charles White Jr is the main reason a lot of people will watch this film and he kinda just suddenly gets his head smashed in with barely a few minutes of screen time. I really do think he was unironically, a huge highlight of the film. He's pretty much acting like himself throughout his minimal amount of screen time and has some of the funniest lines in the entire movie. You can tell he's having a blast with the role and I really do think he was wasted. The writers knew getting a famous YouTuber in the film would make it more successful so I think if they gave him a bit more screen time I'd enjoy the film a lot more. Hope to see Charlie in more projects in the future.

officer greg/charlie carried
mistyconnors24 September 2023
Not even charlie could save this movie, had to watch this in x2 speed because of how bland and boring it was. Perhaps if greg was the main character or even just lived a little bit longer this movie would have been a little better, the only emotional part of the movie was when officer greg got his face reduced to literal mush after it got stomped on once. The only funny moment of this movie was when officer greg said the inspiring quote "limp-dick turbo-virgin loser". The only attractive character in this movie was officer greg with his luscious jesus looking hair. Total waste of an hour and 53 minutes.

The breathtaking Charles White
elijahv-6114527 June 2021
Charles White produces an absolutely incredible performance. He carries this movie on his greasy back in way that is unmatched by any other performance in cinematic history.

I am a better man for having watched this movie ( entirely due to Charles Whites performance) and amazingly my testosterone levels actually increased by 690% the day after I watched the movie. I finally got my first pube, and Charles White takes full credit for this miracle.

My one critism ( if you can even call it that) is that even though watching this movie was the greatest moment of my life, it has simultaneously ruined every other movie for me as nothing can even produce even 1% of the pure testosterone- fulled Mastery of Charles Whites performance.

Thank you Charles White, I will never forget this masterpiece.

If you like Comedy and truly awful movies...this is for you!
dallasmovieguy8 December 2022
Bad acting, bad story, bad special effects...just really so bad it's funny. I think this must have been made by High School students with a home video camera, seriously. But like I said if you're looking for a comedy disguised as horror, you found it. As they say, I want the time I wasted on this one back! Hahahaha! The premise is absurd from beginning to end. Plot holes everywhere. I have no idea who wrote this or spent money to make it, but I think I could make a better movie in my sleep. I apologize to the actors, but please find something else to do with your lives because acting is not a career option for anyone in this movie. Although, I must say some of you are very attractive, but consider modeling, not acting. Sorry.

Who?
JohnSeal15 May 2022
Warning: Spoilers
I'm 59, so I have no idea who Charles White, Jr. Is, or why he's apparently so popular. What I can tell you is that this is a routine, badly acted slasher flick that should have been 80 minutes long but somehow lasts an interminable 113 minutes. Quite dull and much, much too long.

Embarrassingly bad movie
caldwellhunter-1407010 January 2022
First of the actors are obviously older than the characters they are portraying. Second of all the way these people talk is nothing like how actual teenagers talk. The acting is terrible. I would have been pissed if I had to pay to watch this movie.

its like dancing fox trot...
ops-525352 June 2021
In the night with a howling sound of the ripper coming for your skin and blood, brain and gore. Its a film gift to all the organ crushing and amputative gore lovers among the cinema audience, and for the rest its better to make a pass. Due to graphic violence en masse', a prison camp potatosoup recipie of a script, unoriginal plot, and the typical last prom night for the high school seniors.

Acting are average, some are good to scream, and some have learned to die with dignity, the production is like 25 skits where every skit ends with a kill.

So its killakill like we used to say to the swimmers when learning them to crawlswim, if that did the trick i wont comment, rather than say from a grumpy old mans vantage point, this film aint worth no more than a 3 star, its a bloody mess for the youtubegeneration and the steady frat of gore lovers.

That type of thing doesn't happen here
nogodnomasters20 April 2022
Warning: Spoilers
We see a couple of disgruntle teens kill Mutt's abusive parents. They are on their way to Shelby, Florida to meet and maybe kill the father of the other teen. Twenty-five years later we have the arrival as they have been known as the cross country killer, claiming responsibility for about 25 murders.

In Shelby, the senior class is preparing for a bash. We are introduced first to Emma (Jessica Lang) who must be the final girl since she is also top billed. The plot is predictable at this point.

Not the worst slasher out there. Poorly developed characters and only guys shower.

Guide: F-word. No sex or nudity.

Wicked Fun
kyleallencole98 June 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Started off a little slow especially with that terribly acted scene with the boys and their parents in the beginning, but this quickly turned into one hell of a teen slasher flick!

The kills in this alone were kick ass and the chase scenes were awesome!

A psycho killer terrorizes different towns throughout this one and sets his sights on a small town in Florida where several high school teens who are about to graduate begin to be mercilessly slaughtered at a school event.

Be prepared for an intense bloodbath!!

Definitely a fun movie!

Another Highschool Slasher Flick
qyzenreviews1 June 2021
Giving retrospection to all the slasher/horror movies taking place in the high school, Last of the Grads is a blend of the same old-school style where a masked killer (stolen mask of Donnie Darko) is on a killing spree with Witchcraft and cult elements.

First time screen writing and directing Jay Jenkins and Collin Kliewe did a fine job.

The movie becomes sluggish at first as they try to describe the coast-to-coast killer but after 30 minutes everything was ready to go.

The school was celebrating last day of the senior class and for many the last day becomes the last day of their lives.

Like many films this also goes down to the final girl but the killings are really impressive, it has a lot of gore effects especially due to Antonio Grassano of the Wrong Turn who did an amazing job.

The acting is surprisingly good though many casts are uncredited.

The whole flick was entertaining but at the same time nothing new in the slasher world, a lot of missed opportunities as well however, if you are a horror slasher fan you can give it a go.

Charles White Jr ruins an otherwise terrible film
dunnrick30 May 2021
Low budget, low rent. Low standards, "Last of the Grads" is a cesspool of cliches so rotten that this film actually has a smell. The acting renders it cancerous, particularly Charles White Jr as officer Greg in a performance so awkward and odious that only friends and family members could line up to leave bogus reviews.

Charles White Jr. delivers a moist performance
independentfilmaker9922 August 2022
Charles White Jr's acting was so raw, gritty, brooding and just overall inspiring. I only saw the 4 minutes of the movie that he was in but that's all I needed to see to say he deserves an Academy Award for his unbelievable acting in this movie. I feel bad for actors because now they know Charles White Jr. Will get the best actor award every year.
