Diego Maradona, hailed as one the best soccer players ever, will be the subject of a new docuseries from Sofia Vergara’s Latin World Entertainment and Dhana Media.
Maradona, who died of a heart attack in November, has been the subject of numerous docs and scripted projects — though this series touts an exclusive archive, and testimony from the celebrated and controversial athlete’s family.
“One thing is what the press and people say, and quite another is what we lived up close. We always stayed on the sidelines of what was said. In his life, my brother had to defend himself from infinite, unfounded slander. But now that he’s not here, it is our duty to clear up falsehoods and leave his memory in peace,” said Elsa “Lili” Maradona, Diego’s sister.

Set in a prestigious gated community in Argentina, Carmel: Who Killed Maria Marta? is a bewildering true-crime watch full of odd twists and turns. One of the most shocking (and suspicious) moments comes in the form of a "pituto," which the docuseries translates from Spanish as "thingy." It's what Horacio, the late María Marta García Belsunce's brother, called a mysterious piece of lead. When his half-brother John Hurtig and stepfather Dino moved María Marta's body, they discovered the pituto beneath her. Later telling investigators that he believed it was a shelf lug, John flushed it down the toilet. The pituto, it turned out, was none other than the tip of a bullet - a bullet that matched the five found in María Marta's head. It's a critical piece of evidence, so let's dig into what episode two revealed about it.

We’ve just hit November, and that means a whole new month of material for Netflix subscribers. The platform is adding a lot of content for this period, including the latest instalment of The Crown, and several of its Christmas titles ahead of the festive season. Focusing on this week, though, what movies and series are Netflix putting out to keep us busy?
Well, first up on November 2nd is the 2018 science fiction film Prospect, which sees Pedro Pascal and Sophie Thatcher as a father and daughter team who travel to a moon to mine for rare gems, but soon encounter bigger problems. Prospect was the feature-length directorial debut of Zeek Earl and Chris Caldwell, and enjoyed a limited release and some decent critical responses.
In terms of other movies, we’re getting the Japanese true crime drama Mother, romance Midnight at the Magnolia, Spanish Civil War story La trinchera infinita...

November is among the least respected months on the calendar. Falling between objectively the two best holidays, November is usually all about recovering from the spookies of Halloween while getting ready for the good vibes the holiday season. For its new releases of November 2020, Netflix has decided to just go ahead and get Christmas over with.
Netflix has already released a list of all its holiday offerings for November and December, and it’s those holiday offerings that take the most prominence this month. The biggest project of all of these is undoubtedly The Christmas Chronicles 2, which premieres on Nov. 25. In this holiday sequel, Kurt Russell reprises his role as Hot Santa Claus who must save the season once again.
On the non-holiday side of things, Netflix’s Emmy-winning series The Crown returns for season 4 on Nov. 15. And speaking of things that desperately want to win awards, Ron Howard...

October has been great for Netflix subscribers who are also horror fans, as the service has done a fantastic job of offering up plenty of freaky and unsettling new content just in time for Halloween. Adam Sandler’s comedy-horror flick Hubie Halloween, dramatic and cerebral series The Haunting of Bly Manor, and this week’s terrifying psychological horror film His House should be enough to keep you busy for a while.
That said, if you’re really a fan of creepy content, you’re probably wondering what Netflix is going to have to offer now that Halloween has almost come and gone. But fret not, as the platform is bringing a handful of eerie new things your way in November, too, so be ready to stay spooked.
The premiere season of Paranormal launches on November 5th, and it’s certainly shaping up to be worth checking out. Based on the books by Ahmed Khaled Tawfik,...

November is the last month of the year for sensible viewing, before our TV screens become full-time broadcasters of golden retrievers saving Christmas and Will Ferrell wearing tights. Take the opportunity then, to get some good stuff in before the festivities.
In terms of good stuff, Netflix is offering the second series of the brilliantly wry and surprisingly touching The End of the F***ing World for any UK viewers who didn’t catch it on Channel 4. There’s also the excellent animated feature Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (we loved it. 5 stars.) as well as Boots Riley’s inventive, funny, political satire Sorry to Bother You (we also loved it. 4.5 stars.) On top of that, you can take a nostalgic trip to Capeside with all six seasons of Dawson’s Creek or watch emotionally repressed royals deal with the advent of the 1980s in season four of The Crown.

Though we’re now beginning to see life starting to return to at least some sense of normality, a lot of people are still spending much more time at home than usual thanks to the Coronavirus pandemic, and that probably won’t change for a while yet. As such, streaming services are more popular than ever now and thankfully, all of the major players have been delivering the goods when it comes to adding new content.
Of course, Netflix are still the leaders and each and every month they bring us a healthy helping of fresh material that ensures subscribers are kept entertained at all times. Admittedly, the summer was more fruitful in terms of new releases, but there are still a lot of great titles coming down the pipeline as we head into the fall and today, the streaming giant have revealed their November lineup, which you can check out below.
