AMC's new series "Showville" takes the premise of "America's Got Talent" and sends it on the road to Small Town America. Actor Alec Mapa and choreographer Lisette Bustamante are seeking undiscovered talent in small towns, and they quickly learned that the percentage of talented people in small towns may be less than they realized.
The series premiere sent them to Holland, Michigan, where they found four acts put into a talent show for the community. The auditions were the familiar mix of terrible to worse that fans of talent shows have become used to, including one woman who was reading the lyrics to her song from her phone.
One person who did make it into the show as a man who could jam a 5 inch steel nail into his nose. And that is just part of the problem with the show. The execution of it was a far cry from...

I’ve long been convinced that in order for any American to lay claim to the title “nerd,” that American must take a crash-course in British comedy, around about the time of his or her adolescence. This is not just because that’s how things shook out for me, but I’ve noticed how thoroughly mired in British culture a lot of American nerds are, whether it’s Monty Python or Doctor Who. And one man who transcends comedy, and indeed any genre, is Stephen Fry, that British national treasure who is now turning his considerable powers to a caper-comedy.
Fry has lately been in the sights of crime-heads as it is with his handful of appearances on Bones as Dr. Gordon Wyatt. But Doors Open sounds like a project that is a little more appealing to, well, nerds.

Stephen Fry has joined the cast of Warner Bros. Pictures' "Sherlock Holmes 2" opposite Robert Downey Jr. as Mycroft Holmes, Sherlock's older brother. The character appears in four Sherlock Holmes stories as someone who is smarter than his younger brother, although much lazier. The announcement was made by Fry on Saturday during a radio program on BBC. Fry's is known on U.S. soil for his role in the 2008 Tgv series "Stephen Fry in America" and is a recurring on "Bones." Noomi Rapace will take the female lead in the second film, making her debut in an English-language speaking role in the film which opens on December 16th next year...

THR is reporting of actor Stephen Fry’s latest role:
Stephen Fry is the latest to jump aboard Sherlock Holmes 2, joining the Warner Bros. sequel as Holmes’ brother, Mycroft Holmes.
The British actor-comedian, perhaps best known in America for his recurring role on TV’s “Bones” and for his BBC miniseries “Stephen Fry in America,” revealed the casting news on a BBC radio show.
I’m more particularly fond of Fry’s role of Jeeves, butler and valet to Hugh Laurie’s (House) daft Bertie Wooster in the ITV series Jeeves and Wooster.
Anyway, THR goes on to say:
Fry’s boarding follows the casting of Noomi Rapace, the Swedish star of The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, who two weeks ago signed on as the female lead in the movie, which reunites most of the team from the original: Robert Downey Jr. as Holmes and Jude Law as Dr.

Remember back when we were reporting on Noomi Rapace getting cast in Sherlock Holmes 2, and there was mention that Holmes’ older, wiser brother Mycroft would appear in the sequel? And how we thought that it should really be Mark Gatiss after his portrayal of the man on the BBC’s Sherlock? If there was anyone who could bring the same laidback, louche energy to the role, it’s Twitter King Stephen Fry, and it would appear Guy Ritchie was thinking the same thing, as Fry has joined the movie.Fry unusually skipped making the announcement on his favourite social networking service, preferring instead to reveal word on Danny Baker’s radio show (with the news picked up and expanded upon by Variety). The writer/presenter/occasional actor has been slowly building a real presence in the Us, with Stephen Fry in America shown by BBC America and a recurring...

For those who are not familiar with Stephen Fry, he is a man of many talents. His long list of credits include acting in 'Alice in Wonderland', 'V is for Vendetta', he has his own documentary TV mini-series called 'Stephen Fry in America', played Dr. Gordon Wyatt in the hit TV series 'Bones', hell, he's even a voice actor for video games such as 'LittleBigPlanet' and 'Fable 3'. He is the ultimate third/fourth lead actor and he will be just that in the Sherlock Holmes sequel releasing during holiday of next year.
Fry has been casted as Mycroft Holmes, Sherlock Holmes' older brother (seven years older) who in the series is even brighter than Sherlock Homes with superior deductive reasoning abilities.

If he is to save the life of the beautiful Princess Andromeda (Alexa Davalos), the valiant Perseus (Sam Worthington) -- born to a god but raised as a man -- must lead a team of intrepid warriors on a quest to battle a host of powerful, beastly enemies. This sweeping fantasy epic, a remake of the 1981 hit, also stars Liam Neeson as Zeus, Ralph Fiennes as Hades, Danny Huston as Poseidon and Gemma Arterton as Io.
Starring: Sam Worthington, Alexa Davalos
Director: Louis Leterrier
This was not as good as the first one in my opinion. Worth a watch though.

Stephen Fry has hit out at anti-Americanism among the British. The comic, who recently published a book version of his BBC documentary Stephen Fry In America, said the attitude demonstrates an "inferiority complex" among UK citizens. In an interview in Good Housekeeping, he said: "When they mock America for its supposed lack of knowledge, irony or sophistication, they are revealing (more)...
