Excellent short vidoe about EU immigrants in the UK

I thought this short video was beautifully done. The women (they were all woment) from EU countries gave heartfelt descriptions of how Brexit affected them and how they were treated. Well worth watching.

Sadness, bewilderment, yet resilience
rbuchan-8088119 April 2021
A picture of the experience of EU citizens living across the uk. Many vistas of streets, less interiors. Participants all in urban settings. One was filmed partly in the indoors setting of a gym, which made an interesting counterpoint to the speaker's comments. Overall I found it an atmospheric film shot through with sadness and bewilderment. Not that all shared the same feelings to the same extent. There was a range of ages, and major life events in some cases had left their mark. It was never going to be a cheerful watch, it's distressing to witness the sufferings of these EU citizens who are or were neighbours, friends, partners, colleagues, helpers of us Scots and other British, enriching our lives and helping create prosperity in this country for so many years. But there was, I felt, in most of the participants a resilience and clear-sightedness which sustained a positive thread throughout the film. I liked that the filmmaker managed to capture the sense of individual experiences. The film doesn't labour the huge difficulties many EU citizens resident in the UK have faced. For me it strikes a balance in this respect, allowing each person to tell their story. The stories speak for themselves.
