The French title of this taut French crime series is of course a tribute to Richard Flesicher's THE NEW CENTURIONS, adapted from a Joseph Wambaugh's novel. Olivier Marchal was a French Joseph Wambaugh- an ex cop too -, and a great movie buff too. So this explains that. Powerful characters depiction, brilliant story with exciting twists. Riveting scenes, for instance when a female cop on surveillance for a gangster in a bar, is by hazard offered a cup of coffee by the same hoodlum. Once more, you have here the pure Olivier Marchal's trademark. I am in a hurry to watch the following episodes. I don't know how I could ignore this series so far.
