- Luc Geens is found dead in the storeroom of his do-it-yourself store. His forehead is pierced with a nail-pistol and next to his body a print of a sport-shoe gets found. Tom Segers is leading the investigation and his new police-partner Fien will feel it. The just graduated inspector doesn't get taken serious and gets not one single chance to prove herself. After a conversation with the victim's girlfriend, Tom is sure that Geens was killed by his son Bart. The boy had a fight with his father about money, and in his house they find the sport-shoe and a nail-pistol. Tom is sure it's only a matter of time before Bart makes a confession. When Fien suddenly brings in another suspect, Tom gets furious. From today on Dani leads the team of Zone Stad, but not everyone is happy with that. Officers Mike and Jimmy investigate a case of fake wristwatches.—Anonymous
- Tom's ex-partner celebrates her promotion to commissioner in chief of the City (central Antwerp) police zone with an office drink. The police chief insist she must henceforth keep distance from her staff, even close 'ex-'colleagues. Grumpy Tom's new partner arrives, female rookie Delfine 'Fien' De Denterghem Van Bosvoorde, with an influential father, but he denies her a significant part in their first case: Do-it-yourself-shop-owner Luc Geens's murder with a nail machine in his own stockroom, where he was found by stock clerk Hugo Bertels. Tom soon arrests Geens' estranged adolescent son Bart from his first marriage, who had a financial dispute with him because of his unfaithful step-mother Riet. In Bart's room are a nail machine and gym-shoe fitting an obvious footprint found besides the corps. Tom's former snitch Ludo Schepers is released after three years in jail and demands his help but is only offered a payment to help Mike investigate a shopkeeper who sold his girlfriend a faulty fake watch. The detectives stumble upon a surprisingly complex link between both cases.—KGF Vissers
