Kay Mellor's The Syndicate returns after a few years hiatus.
This series mixes social realism with an international caper that takes the winners to Monte Carlo.
The first episode is more bust. A group of young kennel workers are fighting of new zero contract hours and debt collectors. Young people looking after dogs but it will soon be all change in the workplace and not for the better.
The syndicate are pleased to win £500. That is what Frank (Neil Morrissey) the friendly shopkeeper tells one of them. Just before he flees abroad with the winning lottery ticket to the tune of £27 million.
It might have been easier for them to make a complain to the National Lottery. Rater suspicious that the shopkeeper that sold the lottery ticket to be the winner.
Still this one is a change from the normal formula of the show. I just found some of the main characters to be cardboard cutouts.
