This is from the studio that brought us The Legend of Hei and Lou Xiaohei. And it is for sure living up to those great movies, The characters are deep, complicated. Of course you can't see that until you learn more about them. The story is pretty simple. I don't know how can I describe fully what this show is without spoiling it. So I'll say this watch it on YouTube. It's free and there is no DRM because this is Chinese and Chinese will share their art. Also YouTube is banned in China soo there's no reason for there to be DRM :D.

A sweet short series

There aren't much complaints about the series.
The music, animation style and the plot and story are easily a 9 or 10.
While each episode is only 4 to 5 minutes long with a minute of intro, it really feels as if there wasn't much watched. Overall, it's a really good show. It's something to see for a change. Underrated.
The intro is the same throughout the seasons and really have to appreciate that considering how good it matches with the show.
The characters are all well written and some of them aren't introduced yet (the show doesn't properly follow the comic or manhua).
It's a real sweet feel-good and wholesome series.

I first watched the show (currently on ep 22) then the comic. This may just boil down to personal preference but I prefer the comics! The anime left so many interesting things out (THE CHARACTERS DUDE), and included a lot of really unnecessary filler (dark lord, lilly love plot, etc)
Of course the show needed conflict given that the comics are a day to day slice of life rather than a chronological plot - but even then the anime still sort of fails in that aspect. Jumping place to place, starting a story & never finishing it ,or worse rushing it to the point it doesn't make sense. There are more episodes to see so I don't want to stomp my foot down yet but again 22 episodes in and still rather dissatisfied plot wise.
