The Old Timers

This episode brings the history of Vegas back again, allowing Greg to hold forth as a historian. It begins with a couple of young singers hoping to win an American Idol type show. One of the favorites is verbally assaulted by the producer and runs from the stage during rehearsal. She is later found wrapped in an aged tablecloth. This leads to an old casino that once housed some of the greatest black performers of the time. It was interesting to see Tippi Hedren (star of The Birds) and Ralph Waite (the father on The Waltons). It has a neat conclusion as racism reared its ugly head.

Overnight Sensation

Layla Wells and Kip Westerman are finalist singers in the famous TV show Overnight Sensation. When Layla is found dead and wrapped in a tablecloth, the CSIs investigate the evidences and interrogate the producer Drew Rich, Kip and his father. When Hodges finds that the material of the tablecloth has not been for thirty years, Greg and Nick go to the abandoned Casino Le Chateau Rouge, where secrets are disclosed.

"Young Man with a Horn" is a good episode of "CSI", where shows how the racism in EUA worked in the past in the 50's, with an innocent black man being framed and accused of the murder of a wealthy man despite the confession of his Caucasian wife. My vote is eight.
