Matches the strength of the rest of the series

I wasn't expecting every plot point to be suitably tied up within one episode, but they did it well. Very much subverted my expectations for the true culprits of the murders and what had happened to Artur and Kamila. Even the modern day plot ended interestingly after how boring it had previously been. Good job Harlan Coben.

Wild ending

All loose ends are wrapped up, which I appreciate immensely. The storyline was well developed and came together nicely. Great acting and cinematography.

I Always Lose Everyone That I Love.

Warning: Spoilers
+1 Star for opening sequence of flashbacks

Pavel leaves hospital AMA.

Lara is at home with her husband and her husband deserves way better.

Pavel at forensic lab agian with this body. Is the body they found in the woods / lake his mother???

Pavel playing some fancy moves on the embezzlement case.

Pavel goes to visit Perkowski. To tell mom that Arthur is indeed dead and that was her son's body she lied about. But the mom knows Camila was still alive just like her son was. The Perkowski's know the truth about what happened at that camp.

And what did happen?? Arthur and Camila left with Greenhouse dude into the WOODS.... Greenhouse dude shows them what? Daniel and Monica having sex??? I guess Camila had a crush on Daniel and Arthur liked Monica?? So this is some kind of revenge plot the Greenhouse dude hatches for Arthur and Camila to get back at Daniel and Monica?? And here I really was hoping for something more complex.

So at this little gathering Daniel is flirting with Camila acting like nothing happened of course. Passing out beers to kids. Greenhouse dude invites everyone for swiming , nude. Haha, Camila and Arthur take Daniel and Monica's clothes while they are in the water. Well well...what happened here then??? Camila and Monica fight. And then Greenhouse dude slits Monica's throat, hahaha. Now they are all complicit! So the remaining kids run, and Arthur... in the confusion he stabs Daniel....so that's how Daniel died. Killed on accident by Arthur. So Arthur and Camila return to Arthur's parents, and confess what happened, and thats when they come up with the scheme for Arthur and Camila to disappear.

And in this rape case, a kid comes forward and says he's the one who filmed her that night. And he signs a witness statement.

And the news comes in, the bones found in the WOODS belong to Pavel's mother. And Pavel has to return to the hospital to get restitched because his gunshot wound has opened. And when he returns home he finds out the accused rapists father in his house. And Pavel is told the rape case will be dropped. Because the embezzlement case again his sister in Law.....

Pavel turns in his resignation. Pavel is going to try to fix the Foundation case. Pavel is going to drop the rape case. Pavel falsely admits to embezzling money himself from the foundation to help pay for care for his dying wife. He takes the blame and says his sister in law is completely innocent.

+1 Star for stepping up! Be a man, Pavel!!!

Pavel is boxing up his office, when Mr.s Perkowski shows up. What is this? He asks as she gives him a letter. It's a letter from Camila, his sister. In this letter, Camila apparently told Arthurs mom that Pavel and Camila's dad killed their mother. And buried her in the woods. Pavel asks Perlowski where his siter Camila is.

Cut to Pavel and Lara, in the present, back at the location of the old summer camp. Is this their opportunity for a second chance?? But with tearful eyes, they drive away from the camp, separately.

+1 Star if that result holds, all endings are definitely not happy...

And then we have Pavel, at a nunnery?? Is he going to find Camila here?? As Pavel walks up on a sister at the SISTERhood from behind, and asks, 'Camila?', the sister begins to turn around, but fade to black before we see her face!!! Oh man, what an ending. Bahahaha. Season 2?? I have a feeling the WOODS has more story to tell.

+1 Star for that Whoa ending. I liked it.

9/10 for this finale.

How does Coban keep getting financed?
Plumpien29 June 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Every one of his shows I've watched has a ton of plot holes and lose ends. All the more infuriating because there's no need for them. Why did Artur suddenly, after 25 years, feel the need to contact David? What questions did he ask him? How did Artur's Chinese girlfriend cross paths with the rape defendant's father? How did David know where Artur lived? Why did Artur have an apartment and a hotel room? Pawel's father digs a grave, kills his wife, yet her bones are found in the lake? Pawel's t-shirt is found entangled in a pile of birch branches; how did it get there? Who buried Daniel, we see Artur run away. Artur dropped the knife, yet it's not mentioned. And that's just what comes to mind without trying too hard.

Screenplay lacking

Warning: Spoilers
We were excited to see Harlan Coben's story with a Polish cast. However, the plot was sometimes difficult to follow. Seemed to put too much effort into the cinematography and less into the flow of the story. The music was also jarring. Disappointing ending.

Too many unanswered questions
deeemmtee6 July 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Having struggled to keep up with the complex plot over the previous 5 episodes, it was hugely disappointing that this final episode left so many loose ends and unexplained questions. Why did Artur come out of hiding after 25 years? Why did he visited the old Camp Leader? Why was he then killed? And why did he write Pavel's name in blood at the murder scene?

Also, did Pavel actually steal from the foundation (to fund his wife's treatment) or was he simply trying to save his sister-in-law?

Also, why did Pavel's mother go into the woods with her husband looking for Kamila's body when she knew for certain that she was not dead?

And so it goes on. Way too many points left unresolved at the end - rather spoiled the whole thing.
