"Covered" was one of three short films produced in 2004 by the highly successful It's My Shout scheme. It follows the scheme's first film Down (2003/II) in 2003 and was produced alongside the short films "Bettws Pastie" and "Catastroffi". 2004 also marked the inaugural It's My Shout Awards, in which "Covered" received multiple nominations and won in the categories of Best Actor and Best Film.
