Maggots never lie.

Boyd continues to dig away, and discover who it was that killed Dearden, and why.

I can take or leave this story, this time round, I enjoyed it. It's very dark, it's very deep, and I understand why some fans aren't always so fussed about it. It has no lighter side at all, the tone, story and outcome are all very bleak. I find the ending very sad.

We have a very different Boyd here, for so long he's been angry, petulant and confrontational, with Luke back in his life and suffering, we have a very haunted Boyd here.

Lorcan Cranitch is excellent here, that showdown between Boyd and Victor Coleridge is excellent.

It has a very different tone. 7/10.

Almost unwatchable.

Warning: Spoilers
I'm working through the entire series chronologically. This episode is the first one I've wanted to turn off.

Season 7 is the worst so far. Quality has dropped significantly. This episode is the low point so far.

The subplot with Boyds son is tiresome and no more than padding. It's unnecessary and boring.

A very poor episode that I won't bother with next time around.
