Disturbing, Funny, overall just Out There

I've been a subscriber to Meat Canyon since 50K. Hunter Hancock is a great animator on YouTube who is really good at what he does. Some say animation is hard to live by on YouTube but he prevails. Check the channel out.

Just not funny
I don't think I get it, I'm supposed to find it funny because the character designs are deliberately grotesque and ugly as hell? Very flat to me, I just can't enjoy hardly any of them that much, it's like they put everything into the ugliness of the animations and leave the humour part as an afterthought, doesn't work, I've seen this kind of thing before on YouTube and it was done far better in a show called Animation Hi-Def Domination and one called AOK, and one called Dorkly, they have twisted versions of animated icons that are actually hilarious, this is pretty much crap, only ones I enjoy are the ones with the beer drinking guy and the couple of live action ones. Overall just very poor, most of the episodes play like bad Family Guy jokes, nothing special at all.

Pushing boundaries

Meatcanyon's videos wield a unique and undeniable power, capable of stirring a myriad of emotions that range from fascination to discomfort. At the heart of this complexity lies the deliberate interplay of several factors, including their unconventional character designs, unflinching exploration of dark subject matter, and audacious pursuit of concepts that push the boundaries of creative expression.

Upon encountering Meatcanyon's work, it's nearly impossible not to experience a momentary pause-a result of the striking and often unsettling character designs that populate the screen. These designs, which often distort familiar figures into uncanny, hyper-realistic forms, challenge our perceptions and evoke a visceral response. Yet, it's within this unease that lies the foundation of Meatcanyon's artistic prowess, for it's through discomfort that our imaginations are primed to accept the unexpected.

Central to the intrigue is Meatcanyon's remarkable ability to meld the macabre with the comedic. The juxtaposition of genuinely horrifying scenarios with moments of levity and wit creates a narrative tension that draws us into a narrative spiral, causing us to question our own reactions. It's a testament to the creator's skill in crafting an immersive experience that can both disturb and entertain, evoking both shudders and laughter.

In a landscape where artistic expression often adheres to conventional norms, Meatcanyon's body of work stands as a daring exploration of the boundaries of creativity. It reminds us that discomfort can serve as a gateway to new perspectives and experiences, all while challenging us to confront the unexpected facets of our own sensibilities.

For those intrigued by the prospect of narratives that boldly blur lines and test limits, the realm of Meatcanyon beckons. It promises a voyage into the unknown, a journey that traverses the eerie, humorous, and thought-provoking aspects of storytelling. So, if you're ready to embrace the disconcerting and embrace the unexpected, Meatcanyon's videos stand as an invitation to engage with an art form that defies easy categorization.

Works of Horror Comedy Art
cameronmcnicol12 September 2023
This channel is one of the most amazing things ever. It's a horror comedy YouTube series along the lines of icons such as Don't Hug Me I'm Scared, Salad Fingers and Happy Tree Friends, but unlike them, it's parodies of real world topics, like the Grimace shake, the Mario movie, and even PUMPKIN SPICE LATTES, and even then, it makes them disturbing but yet sort of appropriate for most ages, I personally get a laugh out of these all the time. The vocal range for this man is beyond incredible, and I think the people who work on dhmis should hire him for ideas or voices, as some of the voices he does would fit right into the show.

Vulgar and Vile
tampuopolo-452114 February 2024
I was unfortunately was introduced to MeatCanyon, which he seems like a nice guy and his animations take time. However I can't get behind ugly and meaningless plots other than violence and sex which have no morale code or any heart. The jokes are not funny what so ever. Violence should never have jokes when things that are not laughing matter should never be treated as nothing more than trashy and empty rubbish to weaken our imagination, especially to timeless and talented people who made up these characters such as Bug's Bunny and Willy Wonka. As an animator I find his work absolutely horrid.
