Bill Skarsgård has continued to to impress audiences over the years and has helped maintain the glorious reputation of the Skarsgård family alongside his father Stellan Skarsgård and brother Alexander Skarsgård. Skarsgård is gearing up for his leading role in the upcoming action film Boy Kills World. The film is co-produced by Sam Raimi and the makers of the film had a tough task while casting the main role of the Boy. It seems Skarsgård was not their original choice for the role, and Pete Davidson was considered initially, with the tone of the film also being completely different at the time.

‘X-Men ’97’ has been a major success for the studio, the show debuted with 100 % on Rotten Tomatoes and has kept consistently high ratings, being praised by fans after every single episode, especially episode 5.
We know that the studio has pretty big plans for the show, with season 2 already in production and season 3 being in development. The sky is the limit. Recently, fans have called for the showrunners to take over the development of the upcoming ‘X-Men’ live-action reboot, as the current quality of the show far surpasses anything we’ve seen in the MCU in the last few years, with few notable exceptions.
In their recent interview with Inverse, show’s directors Chase Conley, Emi Yonemura, and Jake Castorena discussed the show’s possible future, and they are open to pretty much anything, especially animated movie based on the show.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe has largely been a live-action affair, be it in theatres or with streaming. So far, only one entry into the franchise proper has been animated, that being What If…? X-Men ’97 has been the latest animated series that the studio has put out and could be on its way to becoming an MCU installment too if rumors are to be believed.
X-Men ’97
It seems like the superhero genre has entered a golden age of animation, with shows like X-Men ’97 and Invincible, and films like Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. The genre is receiving the kind of boost it needs, with all the talks of superhero fatigue quickly fizzling out in the wake of these acclaimed shows and films. In light of its recent success, the directors of X-Men ’97 have a similar idea for the X-Men IP, one that Kevin Feige can’t possibly overlook...

The vengeful spirit Eric Draven first appeared in James O'Barr's indie comic "The Crow" in 1989. He became a Goth household name in 1994 thanks to the popularity of Alex Proyas' ultra-stylized, uber-Noir film adaptation starring Brandon Lee, who was infamously killed on the set of "The Crow" thanks to a misfiring prop gun. The teens of 1994 venerated the film, and "The Crow" was deeply beloved by many. The film warranted several sequels, including "The Crow: City of Angels" in 1994, "The Crow: Salvation" in 2000, and "The Crow: Wicked Prayer" in 2005. O'Barr's characters were also featured in the 1998 TV series "The Crow: Stairway to Heaven."
Although O'Barr's Goth sensibilities were a product of their time, filmmakers and producers have been trying to get a "Crow" remake off the ground for a long while, and the project has changed hands almost a dozen times in the last 20 years. After a lot of juggling,...

This June, a long-gestating remake of the 1994 Brandon Lee comic book film “The Crow” will finally be released following various false starts over the years with versions meant to star actors like Jack Huston and Jason Momoa. The Rupert Sanders-directed (“Ghost In The Shell”) version stars rising actor Bill Skarsgård (the spitting image of the original artwork from James O’Barr’s comic book) as a new take on the undead vigilante Eric Draven.

After more than 15 years of development hell, the reimagining of “The Crow” will finally hit theaters this summer.
“The Crow” is based on the indie comic book series of the same name by James O’Barr that was originally published back in 1989 by Caliber Press. 30 years ago in 1994, a film adaptation of the comic book by visionary director Alex Proyas was released into theaters, perhaps better known as the movie where star Brandon Lee was accidentally shot and killed on set during the middle of production.
Miramax stepped in and spent $8 million to pick up where production left off and finish the film. “The Crow” went on to gross $93.7 million at the box office against its $23 million budget, and the film eventually became a cult classic. Three lackluster sequels and a television adaptation would follow, however the property had always been earmarked for what current distributor Lionsgate is calling a reimagining.

Scarlett Johansson is undoubtedly one of the most well-known actresses in the world right now, who has made a name for herself in numerous roles, especially as Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. However, it appears the likely reason for her to join Jurassic World 4 is quite depressing.

Scarlett Johansson’s portrayal of Black Widow in the Marvel Cinematic Universe movies began with 2010’s Iron Man 2, where she stole the spotlight with her introductory action sequences. Since then, she has always held a commanding presence in all of her scenes in major MCU movies.

Whether the original comics’ author, James O’Barr, planned for his work to become so notorious, The Crow has, thanks to the tragedy surrounding the shooting of the 1994 movie, become a cult classic. Now, many years later, Rupert Sanders is remaking the film with Bill Skarsgård in the main role.

It never gets easier to look up the horrors of what real life humans are willing to perpetrate but some of them are harder than others. Looking into the purported Scottish myth that inspired The Hills Have Eyes for example is a whole heck of a lot easier to do than find out the absolutely abysmal crimes that were committed against a young girl in The Girl Next Door. Sadly, today’s movie The Snowtown Murders, a.k.a. Snowtown (watch it Here), is a lot closer to the sickening facts that happened to The Girl Next Door. While Australia already got our notorious spotlight shined on the fictional Mick Taylor who was a composite of two backpack killers, today we will look at the man who is known as the country’s worst serial killer and unpack what he did and who with. Directed by Alex Proyas, the original film featured Brandon Lee in the lead role of Eric Draven. Following its success several other actors have since portrayed different versions of The Crow in subsequent sequels. Skarsgård, however, would be bringing Lee’s character Eric Draven back in the remake.

If you were a teenager in the 1990s (like me!), few things mattered to you like The Crow. The 1994 film captured goth/grunge cool. From its origins as an indie comic book to its legendary soundtrack to its tragic production, The Crow captured the mood of a generation.
Which is to say that the first look at Bill Skarsgård in the upcoming remake of The Crow might be a bit of a shock. And if you were a teenager in the ’90s, your heart isn’t what it used to be, so you might want to sit down. Have a look at the first image of Skarsgård as the titular anti-hero…

The Crow reboot will release in theaters on June 7, 2024, and Vanity Fair has shared three first-look images this morning that reveal Bill Skarsgård’s tattooed take on Eric Draven.
Director Rupert Sanders explains to Vanity Fair, “I think the beauty of Bill is that he has a disturbing beauty, and as he transforms through his loss he becomes this thing that even he can’t control. It’s that famous line: ‘Whoever fights monsters must be careful that they don’t become one.’ That look was me in the ’90s when we were squat-raving in London, [mixed with some modern influences] like Post Malone and Lil Peep. Netflix’s live-action adaptation of Avatar: The Last Airbender premieres on Thursday, Feb. 22 and it’s not been regarded as a good adaptation of the original Avatar: The Last Airbender debuted on Nickelodeon in 2005 and ran for three seasons, ending in 2008. It’s been criticized for its emotionally hollow and tonally disconnected themes. The live-action show has also been under severe criticism due to the changes in the innate traits of some characters.
Netflix’s Avatar: The Last Airbender
And at such a time, when fans are utterly disappointed with the new Netflix adaptation of Avatar: The Last Airbender, some fans have an alternate idea. Anime and manga live-action adaptations, especially English-language ones, have a mixed track record. For every "One Piece" and "Speed Racer," which manage to capture the endless imagination of the medium, there are thrice as many "Dragonball Evolution" and "Ghost in the Shell" bad movies that nearly ruin their source material.
One of the best ones is not really based on an anime or manga — though it is quite clear that "Akira" was a huge influence — Josh Trank and Max Landis' "Chronicle." The film is set in Seattle and follows three teens who acquire telekinetic powers. Soon enough, the fun and games turn dark and deadly when one of them begins to lose control and relish in their power. After Hayao Miyazaki took three years to finish the initial storyboard for “The Boy and the Heron”, it became obvious that he needed help. With diminished stamina and failing eyesight, the legendary anime auteur was no longer able to control everything. So he invited Takeshi Honda (“Neon Genesis Evangelion”), the supervising animator on his hybrid CG/2D short “Boro the Caterpillar,” to join his upcoming feature.
Honda was flattered and told Miyazaki that he would think about it because he was already committed to “Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time,” the franchise film finale. “But at that time, Miyazaki san said, ‘I don’t have time — there is no one in the Miyazaki family who is over 80 years old.’ I thought it was a big deal,” Honda told IndieWire over Zoom through an interpreter.

Zack Snyder’s Rebel Moon-Part 1: Child of Fire his latest foray into science fiction, ambitiously attempts to weave a tale of interstellar rebellion and personal redemption. Written by Snyder, and co-written by Kurt Johnstad and Shay Hatten, the film struggles under the weight of its own aspirations, lacking the distinct personality often associated with Snyder’s works. The film delivers on the visual aesthetics, the film falters in delivering a compelling story. The film stars Sofia Boutella, Michiel Huisman, Charlie Hunnam, Dijmon Hounsou, Ed Skrein, Ray Fisher, Cleopatra Coleman, Fra Fee, Doona Bae, and Staz Nair.
Stranded on a distant moon, the enigmatic Kora (Boutella) finds refuge in a community of farmers. Her life takes a dramatic turn when the oppressive Regent Balisarius (Fee) and his aide, Admiral Noble (Skrein), target the settlement for trading with Darrian and Devra Bloodaxe (Fisher and Coleman), who are rebel leaders opposed by the dominant Motherworld.

Nowadays, there is a standardized formula for countless Christmas movies. Recurring themes range from stories of redemption to emphasizing the warmth of a strong family bond and festive cheer. Yet, it is always fascinating to see flicks that depart from the usual holiday tropes and instead focus on an issue that may be too challenging for casual moviegoers, who prefer a more sanitized portrayal of reality for the holidays. Shutaro Oku's unusual yet effective feature, “Death of Domomata,” uses the happiest time of the year to explore recovering from drug addiction and the harsh realities that come with a dysfunctional rehabilitative environment.

The anime world is buzzing with excitement as Tasha Huo, renowned for her work on ‘Red Sonja’ and the ‘Tomb Raider’ animated series, has been announced to take on the script for Lionsgate’s live-action ‘Naruto‘ movie. This revelation came from Variety’s ‘10 Screenwriters to Watch for 2023,’ highlighting Huo’s rising prominence in the industry.
Lionsgate’s journey to adapt ‘Naruto’ has been a long and evolving process. The Tracking Board Hollywood news website first broke the news in 2015 that Lionsgate had secured the rights for the manga’s live-action film adaptation. They were in talks with Michael Gracey, known for directing ‘The Greatest Showman,’ to helm the project. A year later, at the Jump Festa event, it was confirmed that Lionsgate and Gracey were working on the film with the involvement of Masashi Kishimoto, the original creator of ‘Naruto.’
The production has seen various key figures involved over the years.
