Nice day for a Robberino.

Ben visits The Bank to pay in a cheque, but he times it badly, it's being robbed by a feuding couple.

It is Ben at his absolute best, Lindsay is hilarious here, he's as sarcastic and cutting as ever. His negotiating skills are put to the test, he is so funny here. Michael gets some funny moments here.

Have you ever thought of wearing a mask? Brilliant line. I love how Ben and Janey are perplexed as to how the Bank Manager is unable to answer her Account questions.

I like Benson and Qurike, an unlikely pairing, but they work well together.

I really enjoyed it, 8/10.

Paying in a cheque has never been so hard

Since the 6th series a trend where Ben or Susan would be absent from episodes (or appear very briefly at the start so people wouldn't switch off) became part of the 'My Family' norm, presumably to allow Robert Lindsay and Zoe Wannamaker to pursue other opportunities while still making the show.

This is a Susan-less episode, allowing Robert Lindsay's Ben to get caught up in a bank robbery led by the character played by Pauline Quirke (unfunny as ever).

Lindsay just about holds things together, and there's a nice subplot involving Michael (who seemed to be being presented as a ladies man at this stage in the shows run) and a police officer.

Not the best episode of the shows 11 series run, but a good one.
