I hate rice pudding.

Jackie has gone to the hospital to have a woman's procedure, so Auntie Val stepped into Jackie's shoes for the night.

Despite The au Pair being a poor episode, the rest of this series has been absolutely tremendous, The Cage is yet another awesome episode.

This is truly funny from beginning to end, Val is a real pain, and finally she gets her comeuppance in this episode, the cage scene is truly funny.

I used to be made to eat rice pudding as a child, and j absolutely hate it, it's terrible stuff, so the scene with poor Jim doing his bit for Jewish relations was a super funny moment.

I really found this funny, 9/10.

Crazy title for this review, but if you've seen this episode, you will know what I'm referencing, lol!

This episode is one of the highlights of the whole series. There are so many hilarious moments packed into 24 minutes. All the characters are on top form, most of all Jim and Aunty "bloody" Val.

Any episode featuring aunty Val and the irritation she causes the Goodman family (especially Martin) is pretty much destined to be a classic episode. There are plenty of laugh out loud moments involving Val and her sexual conquests.

But Jim's performance is the real highlight here. Without giving away the plot, let's just say that Jim's unwavering reverence to the Jewish faith makes for the most awkward yet hilarious and delightfully naive performance.

And, of course, Martin slamming the cage is another real highlight!

After one of the best episodes--"the caravan" my hopes for the series was high, but then after the 3 worst episodes of the show, my expectations for this episode were low and this episode reminded me why this is one of the best British comedies of all time, I honestly couldn't stop laughing the whole way through! 10/10

Jewish Rice Pudding

My insides actually hurt with laughter from watching Jim eat the rice pudding. Mark Heap playing Jim has to be the funniest character I've ever seen. Ive watched that scene back at least 3 or 4 times now

Jewish rice pudding

Aunty Val drops by to help out, after Jackie's op, but is preoccupied with online dating.

Expecting crimble crumble only to be met with Aunty Val's rice pudding. Pretty much sums up this episode, which is as lumpy and stodgy as the pudding.

Saved by Heap and Ritter's comic turns - as per usual. This series could be so great, but sadly always hits the mediocre mark. A great cast, let them loose elsewhere. They are wasted here.
