- TriviaThere is an inside joke about Pakistani travelers who, once told they are about to land and should fasten their seatbelts decide instead to take their bags from overhead storage, as they would do on a crowded train, preparing to fight their way through a teeming mob of people.
- GoofsKamala asks directions to the train station from a street vendor, even agreeing to buy a Polaroid from him in exchange for the information. She is shown to still have cell service in Pakistan and could have easily used a maps app instead.
- Quotes
Kamala Khan: Why is the hot and sour soup so red?
Red Dagger: That's the color it's supposed to be. Did you Americans find a way to whitewash the Chinese food too?
Kamala Khan: Tell me, was it difficult finding a scarf long enough to cover that big mouth of yours?

Seeing Red
We're now four episodes into this show and it makes sense that we'd finally be taken deep into Kamala's family roots. That's what this whole show has been about. And the family aspect has been the show's most interesting drawing force, so it only makes sense that we'll continue that part of her story, this time a little more intimately. And while doing this, we're also getting a closer look at how the final episodes are going to look and what's waiting Kamala very soon. This episode was yet again, a joyous episode that results in a big and enjoyable chase sequence throughout Karachi.
As I mentioned, this episode is all about expanding that familial connection to the show. Now, we get introduced to a different side of Kamala's family, and with that, we also get more details about the story and where this thing is actually headed. A new ally was discovered in the form of Red Dagger and his organization, and the antagonists are forming themselves as very formidable during a chase sequence that gave me goosebumps because of how awesome it was. It was so refreshing to see a good foot-chase scene again, and to see all the ways our heroes managed to evade captivity. It's really good and I'm liking the way they're treating their action in this show. Kamala is clearly not trained, nor has any real fighting technique so she often gets herself in trouble, which is nice to see for a chance. And don't get me wrong, I like the action sequences of something like "Hawkeye" (for the most part), but this is a little more in my realm of enjoyment. It isn't a totally perfect episode as it still struggles a little with its pace. We're being introduced to a lot of stuff really quickly that is then moved to the side for something else. It's super quick sometimes, and it's not always to my liking. I was very intrigued by the ending of this episode, and I'm excited to see how it factors into next week's episode and then, ultimately, the finale. This has been enjoyable so, let's hope it continues.
"Seeing Red" continues the excellent streak that this show is on at the moment with more family chemistry and more awesome lore being revealed. I'm excited to see how they'll finish this and what this show means for the overall Marvel Cinematic Universe, but I'm sure they'll bring it all to a fascinating conclusion.
