Mindblowing

Seriously, how could this episode be voted anything less than 9? I watch a lot of TV, series, documentaries, but like 95% of its material was new to me. The voice, authenticity and all is perfect. Anyine thinking of buying gold should see this. Yes, it is not perfect, some characters are shown only from one side, but that is the styles of these series. It is not VICE, where all the parties get equal opportunities to tell their story. These series show people who tells their story and also whole dirextor attitude is obvious. Anyway, this is the best episode so far by far.

Unwatchable due to voice over.

I simply had to shut this off. The voice of the woman/girl doing the voice over was as bad as fingernails on chalk board. It gets 3 stars because the young prosecutor.that was featured was very interesting.

This film should have been so much better.

What's with the girl's voice???

Super interesting but that girl whispering the info made me so mad because I was so into the story. I wanted to mute her every time she spoke. Most annoying voice I've heard in my life.

The voice over was unbearable

I never write reviews but had to come here to call out how the whispering little girl narration absolutely ruined what would have been an otherwise informative and interesting episode.

Fool's Gold

I like this series. Some excellent documentary work thus far in previous episodes. Informative, entertaining, engaging. This episode, however, plain sucked.

Childish camera angles, over-use of translated subtitles, constant skimming over storylines, and poorly-staged B-roll. What could have been an intriguing story was constantly sidetracked by the producers' failed attempt at "art."

Hopefully this crew doesn't make any more of the episodes.

So shallow, almost unbearable

Ouch, that hurt. Netflix's department of Over-stylization was working overtime on this one.

The whispery vo, the interview while tying flies, the personal tidbits that go nowhere, and the slow sloppy editing... this episode has so many bad ideas and choices, it's the Alien:Covenant of documentaries

Would be great to get both sides. Prosecution is not out for justice, they are about only gaining more money and advancement of careers. I personally know about this story 1st hand, and while there are some truths, there are also many items left out! Very one sided!! The Feds are a legalized mafia that only see one truth, the one that benefits them and they don't care about who and how they take down people and ruin lives and family.

If you watched this please rewatch and be objective. I know in this day and age everything is sensationalized but this one I feel was produced and edited by the prosecutors and Feds.
