Viva Ruth Liles of Russellville, Arkansas, produced this film (originally titled Seven Wonders), which was the first movie filmed entirely in Arkansas. She hoped to establish a movie production office in Arkansas, saying that movies would be cheaper to make there than in Hollywood and would showcase the area's scenery. General operations for the film were based at Lake Keith, a tourism spot in Cave Springs, AR, that offered barracks and a restaurant. However, filming was troubled all along as filming locations and dates didn't happen as planned and money was running out. Liles tried to interest local leaders in buying stock in her Wonder State Motion Picture Company to help fund the film. While money was raised in Springdale, actors and technicians in Fayetteville walked off the set in October 1951, saying they had not been paid. A few days later, the film company filed for bankruptcy and Liles went to Hollywood to try for further financing for distribution. Supposedly, it was shown in a screening there and may have had a limited national release. It's thought that the only known copy of the film was badly deteriorated and no longer exists.
Then Governor of Arkansas Sid McMath had a small role in the film, playing himself.
