Does anyone have a copy of this presumed lost film?
mcade19 March 2008
If anyone happens to hold a copy or surviving footage of this film, please send me a private message or email.

I am working with Ms. Jean's biographers to try find a copy of the film but so far we cannot determine if it has survived.

It is the only color film that she ever appeared in and Governor Sid McMath was featured as well. The film was shot entirely in the state of Arkansas and was produced by Viva Ruth Lyles for her own independent production company, Liles State Motion Pictures Company.

The only known copy to exist was deteriorated so badly that it couldn't be saved.

Copy of Wonder Valley Movie (1953)

I, too, am looking for a copy of Wonder Valley. Some of my relatives appeared in the movie. Also other town people appeared in the movie. We would love to be able to show the movie again at our Homecoming in Cave Springs, Arkansas. We have pictures of the cast and newspaper articles. But the movie would be wonderful. We have had contact with a person in Conway who knew Ms. Lyles and it was her understanding that the movie was destroyed after Ms. Lyles passed away. There were two different locations in Cave Springs that were used for filming of this movie. At one time, it was shown in Bentonville, Arkansas, a neighboring town of Cave Springs.

Wonder Valley

I am also interested in locating a copy of Wonder Valley filmed in Cave Springs in the 1950's. The full name of the movie was The Seven Wonders of Wonder Valley. The information that I have read so far from others on this link has meant a lot. Little sleepy Cave Springs had Hollywood come and make a movie there, its hard to believe.

My Great Aunt and Uncle,Thelma and Gene Mishler let them us their home for the main character, Sid McMath's house in the movie. This is part of our families history. I've talked with Pat Simpson, my Aunt, and she has a picture of Aunt Themla standing with the cast. She's going to get me a copy of the picture. Locating the film would mean so much to us.Should anyone be able to help with our quest, I'd be deeply grateful. I'm thrilled at the information that has been located so far. Thank you, Tena(Fagala)McLeod

Copy of Wonder Valley

I am looking for a copy of the film Wonder Valley, any photos, or promotional material for preservation in the Benton County Archives. So many of past historical projects have been lost do to unintended neglect, storage in basement or attic, exposure to air, water or other elements. If you have an original, or a decent copy of the film please contact me so we may archive the film, photos, sheet music, or other film propaganda. If you have any photos or promotional material, and do not have plans for future storage, please consider donating them to the Benton County Archive. Please contact me:
