"A Day in the Death" concludes the Owen arc of Season 2 of "Torchwood"
in a satisfactory, and unusually upbeat, manner.
Following his experience at the hands of Death, Owen is a changed man
in more ways than one. This episode shows the character coming to terms
with his new condition. It's another opportunity for Burn Gorman to
reveal new elements of Owen's personality. There's no doubt that Harper
has been on a journey since the beginning of the first season.
The episode includes an appearance by television legend Richard Briers.
Briers plays a man on the edge of death with chilling realism.
