One of the best (ACTUAL) horror shorts I've ever seen. Warning: Spoilers
As a young moviegoer, I quite detested the idea of "shorts." They just didn't make sense to me. Why would you waste time doing something that lasts 4-9 minutes?

As a near-50 year old, my detestation, in retrospect, was misplaced. I have come to very much enjoy shorts, as there is no time to waste in saying what wants to be said. Just because it's a "short" doesn't make it good, and there are many more poorly conceived pieces than there are well-crafted short story telling. SEPARATION is definitely the latter.

The two actors were extremely convincing, especially when dealing with an unknown malady. The director used $$ wisely here, and managed to construct a subtext story as well, which is hard to do well, in shorts.

Bravo on this one. There is some pretty hefty, gory, body horror in this one, so if you don't have a strong stomach, you best steer clear of SEPARATION. If you don't have a strong constitution, well, I suppose the good news is that the complete run time is only 6 minutes.
