Ernie starts the show talking about the real spirit of Christmas and exchange presents with Eric. Eric tries a magic trick. Peter Cushing arrives wanting payment for a previous appearance on the show. Kenny Ball and His Jazzmen perform "Hello Dolly". Eric and Ernie invite Ann Hamilton around for a Christmas dinner. Eric Porter arrives looking for work. He ends up singing and dancing to "If They Could See Me Now" with Eric and Ernie. Nina van Pallandt sings "Both Sides, Now". She then sings "The Christmas Song (Chestnuts Roasting On An Open Fire)" with some hindrance by Eric and Ernie. Eric and Ernie introduce John Wayne. Edward Woodward sings "The Way You Look Tonight". William Franklyn stars as Athos in Ernie's new play 'The Three Musketeers'.—jem
