Trippy and weird until you get it
marissaelisemcree4 June 2020
So I'm a big fan of animation and I stumbled upon this short series- needless to say, after the first 3 min episode I was so confused. Out of nowhere I blurted "Wtf did I just watch!?" but I couldn't stop watching it because of how weird it was. Than after the second 3 min episode, I started to get the point. It's about black people and the toxicity of daytime talk shows exploiting "hood America" for views. And Daytime talk show hosts like Springer and Maury know they can get rich off black people actin fools on TV without doing anything or having anyone call them out because black people need money and will put their family on "Trash TV" to get some sort of income or fame to nudge their family into some sort of economic freedom. Once you keep past how trippy and odd the animation and audio is, you can and should appreciate the message of what the creator is trying to send. Also, If you look closely and analyze all the symbolism in the scene setting, you will realize a lot of thought was actually put into it. Props to the creator for being so original.

Clicking on this series, I had not really looked into it or read the little excerpt on what it's about; all I saw was this crazy animation and colors and clicked. I feel that it appeals to this generation in a sense, the way the show is made is appealing in the way that you click and look and you're like what is this? it draws you in and you watch these short and "weird" episodes until you catch onto the storyline and understand how this really is the reality of a lot of talk shows, and it shows that through different point of views. pretty dope but also gives u a lot to think about.

Trippy animation does not make a good show.

I watched the entire series, and at the end of it, I am 100% sure I have lost brain cells. This show was made for those who have the attention span of a 11 year old on Meth, seeing as every second is filled with the most awful pulsating and rapid angle switching, it can easily be compared to jangling key in front of a baby. The dialogue is utter nonsense, the only instance it could be said to be even relatively coherent is the last episode in which the child lays out the painfully obvious message of the series for everyone who was too stupid to understand it(which would be most of the target audience). This show makes me sick, anyone who enjoys it is an idiot, and as a member of gen z I can say that I definitely do not "get it".
