The ceremony was originally to be held at Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it was changed virtually from the actors' homes across the U.S. and will be held on September 20, 2020,
Eugene Levy and the cast of Schitt's Creek (2015) set numerous Emmys records including being the first comedy show to sweep all four main acting categories, Eugene Levy and Dan Levy become the first father/son duo to be nominated for and to win Emmys on the same night, have four non-Americans, in this case, Canadians, to win all four of the main acting categories.
