I was expecting this to be as interesting as The 100 Greatest TV Characters was, but it wasn't as great as I'd hoped. I mean it did have loads of good characters, but then there were those I didn't know/haven't seen, didn't want to be on there, can't understand why their on it, and those I want to be higher or more popular than others. With contributions from Michael Crawford, Charlie Higson, Barry Humphries, Paul Kaye, Ian Lavender, David Mitchell, Bill Pertwee, Andrew Sachs, Peter Sallis, Dave Spikey, Arabella Weir and Paul Whitehouse. The characters listed included: Smashey & Nicey (Harry Enfield and Chums), Dennis Pennis, Dame Edna Everage, Detective Frank Drebin (Police Squad and The Naked Gun films), Father Dougal Maguire (Father Ted), Mrs. Merton (The Mrs. Merton Show), Lauren Cooper and Cockney Nan Taylor (both The Catherine Tate Show), Waynetta Slob (Harry Enfield and Chums), Daffyd Thomas and Vicki Pollard (both Little Britain), Dr. Guy Secretan (Green Wing), Dr. Niles Crane (Frasier), Lily Savage, Frank Spencer (some Mothers Do 'Ave 'Em), Captain George Mainwaring (Dad's Army), Ted and Ralph (The Fast Show), Avid Merrion (Bo' Selecta!), Earl Hickey (My Name Is Earl), Ted Maul (The Day Today), Pauline and Papa Lazarou (both The League of Gentlemen), Roseanne Conner (Roseanne), Bernard Black (Black Books), Victor Meldrew (One Foot in the Grave), Borat and Ali G (separately on many shows), Derek 'Delboy' Trotter (Only Fools and Horses), Rick (The Young Ones), Brian Potter (Peter Kay's Phoenix Nights), Mark Corrigan (Peep Show), Wallace and Gromit, Norman Stanley Fletcher (Porridge), Edna 'Eddie' Monsoon (Absolutely Fabulous), Larry David (Curb You Enthusiasm), David Brent (The Office), Edmund Blackadder (Blackadder), Alan Partridge, and almost deserved winner, Basil Fawlty (Fawlty Towers). Good!
