The film was originally shot in 2011 and 12 as a series of shorts broken up between locations. The production company did a limited release of the original edit.

The first short film in the series was only produced as a test to learn how to do fight sequences for Ombis Alien Invasion. However, the cast enjoyed the story so much that they got together and did two more shorts, completing a full story and becoming a full feature film.
