Gwen Stefani is officially the new queen of Christmas!
The 48-year-old singer wowed fans with her NBC special, You Make It Feel Like Christmas, on Tuesday night, but it wasn't just her festive tunes and cute interstitials that made the show worth tuning in to (not that we were upset about Blake Shelton holding up mistletoe or an appearance by "Young Gwen"). She absolutely slay-belled the fashion game with ten amazing performance outfits.
The No Doubt frontwoman kicked off the show as our perfect present, shimmying to the classic "Jingle Bells" in a candy cane-inspired silver-and-red sequined leotard topped with a red bow.
Paul Drinkwater/NBC
Not only did "When I Was a Little Girl" make us weep, Stefani's mom also cried when her daughter performed it at the taping of the Christmas special. For the nostalgia-ridden ditty, the mom of three opted for a silver short-sleeved high-low dress with a full tulle skirt.

This Thanksgiving is a special one for Gwen Stefani.
Et exclusively spoke with the 48-year-old singer on Tuesday in New York City, at the dress rehearsal for her upcoming performance of "White Christmas" at the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.
"I have so many things to be thankful for, but I would have to say, I would be so grateful and thankful for the love that I have all around me right now," Stefani shared. "I'm so full of love."
The singer will be spending Thanksgiving in Oklahoma with boyfriend Blake Shelton, but bringing some Stefani traditions to the table.
"In my family, we go big with tradition," she said. "We have one where we go around and everybody takes a letter of Thanksgiving, like T, H, and you make up whatever you're grateful for [starting with that letter] and you pass a candle around. So, everybody gets really creative and it's really sweet to hear the kids, like, try to figure...

Bindi Irwin is a rarity in the world of teen celebrities. She seems to be functional, doesn't live in the spotlight, has little to do with either Disney or Nickelodeon and seems to spend a lot of time with animals. This is all lovely, of course, but it doesn't explain why the 15-year-old girl's potential first boyfriend has made worldwide headlines.
So what is it about Irwin that gets our attention? Here are 7 possibilities.
1. People still miss her father.
The shocking death of Steve Irwin in 2006 still bothers many fans of the "Crocodile Hunter" animal series. Fun, engaging and above-all great with the creepiest of animals, Irwin's death in a statistically impossible accident with a stingray still boggles the mind.
At the time, little Bindi (the elder of Irwin's two children) was an adorable little girl crying for her father. Millions around the world watched the 8-year-old's eulogy. That's not...

Loch Sheldrake, N.Y. — It's a glorious late summer day in the Catskills Mountains, perfect for a nice dip in the water. But the large, inviting swimming pool at one sleep-away camp is untouched.
This is Stagedoor Manor, where days and nights are spent furiously learning dialogue, taking classes on stagecraft, tackling show tunes and practicing choreography, not lounging about. By summer's end, 867 campers will have starred in some 40 full-scale productions.
It's a place where campers in "Jersey Boys" T-shirts ask each other: "How many pairs of fishnets did you bring?" Or are overheard wondering, "Do we have Makeup and then lunch, or lunch and then Makeup?" On bus trips to the movies or the mall, they are known to proudly sing Stephen Sondheim's "The Ladies Who Lunch" instead of "99 Bottles of Beer."
"Nothing about this is normal," says Konnie Kittrell, the production director who is celebrating her 30th year at Stagedoor.

First of all, congrats to everyone who found my hidden message in yesterday's meme. If you didn't get it, here's a hint: it's an acrostic! Now let's have a little fun with today's meme. Above you can see 10 of my favorite 80's singers. How many can you name?
I hope all of of our U.S. readers had a great Thanksgiving. A good portion of mine was spent arguing with my mother, who insisted and would not back down from her assertion that Bette Midler was once married to ... Ernest Borgnine. Even a trip to Wikipedia and IMDb would not dissuade her, as those sites only proved there was a "cover-up" going on.
Anyway, it was a busy Thanksgiving at the cinema, and the estimates for the holiday weekend are in. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows is tops, raking in another $90 million, while Tangled is over-performing expectations (most likely...

New York — Kanye West is nothing if not a showman, and on Tuesday, the rapper celebrated the release of his fifth studio album, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, with a performance that was as daring and dashing as it was fraught with traces of the petulant Mc of the past.
Shortly after midnight, West took to the stage at the Bowery Ballroom in Manhattan accompanied by Bon Iver's Justin Vernon and femcee/singer Teyana Taylor.
The trio launched into "Dark Fantasy," the spirited opening number of 'Ye's new set.
Sporting a skin-tight dress, Taylor admirably belted out the chorus to the track and stuck around to ride shotgun with the G.O.O.D Music chief.

The cast of TV's most hyped show this Fall, "Glee", were taking over the Citizens Bank Park on Saturday, October 31 to do the honor of performing the national anthem. The lots had been snubbed by NBC's Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade but they delivered when tapped to perform at the World Series event.
The likes of Cory Monteith, Lea Michele, and Chris Colfer took a minute of Game 3 between Phillies and Yankees to sing the song in World Series jerseys and 'Stand Up to Cancer' shirts. But it was Amber Riley who took the center stage, belting out the first few phrases solo. When they got to the "bombs bursting in the air", fireworks were lit.
Phillies Hall of Famer Mike Schmidt then came out to throw the ceremonial first pitch. The crowd cheered for him and the ovation did not stop until Schmidt hugged baseman Ryan Howard and left the field.

The pop sensation turns 16 on the same day as the AMAs and many expected her to spend the day with family and friends - but she's keen to work.
She'll join Mariah Carey, Coldplay, Kanye West, Jonas Brothers, Alicia Keys, Rihanna and Taylor Swift, who are also performing at the the 36th annual AMAs. Her father, Billy Ray Cyrus, is among the night's presenters.

What sort of pop culture website would ComicMix be if we did not salute the 50th anniversary of The Smurfs? That’s right, it was on this day that Belgian cartoonist Peyo's (a.k.a. Pierre Culliford) first published drawings featuring those blue cuties.
It all began in 1952 when the artist began a strip called Johan et Pirlouit (translated as Johan and Peewit), in Le Journal de Spirou. On this date in 1958, the Smurfs appeared in the storyline, “La flûte à six trous”. While seeking a magic flute, Johan and Pirlouit encountered a being called Schtroumpf. Audiences were enchanted and within a year, Smurf solo stories began appearing in Spirou followed almost immediately by the first merchandising.
Over time, the society and culture of the Smurfs took shape from the look of Smurf Village to the personalities of the various and seemingly endless supply of inhabitants. They weren’t...

Sixteen years ago, we got Beethoven -- not Ludwig, but rather the big ol' St. Bernard. Just in case four sequels and a stint on television wasn't enough for you, The Hollywood Reporter posts that Universal is releasing yet another direct-to-dvd sequel on December 30 -- Beethoven's Big Break. I guess they gave up punning on Ludwig with their titles. But just because it's not going to the big screen doesn't mean you can't see the pup in huge glory -- it seems that a giant Beethoven balloon will be part of the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade this year. I bet it'll be cuter than the movie.
In other DVD news: Have you ever scoured the DVD shelves, discovered some strange, old film with current stars, and comment on how someone unearthed the crappy flick to make money on the actor's newfound fame? Well, this next bit is something like that.
