Rebirth Island is one of the most popular maps for the original Call of Duty: Warzone. The first iteration of the battle royale title, which saw the CoD formula applied to a free-to-play title, was much appreciated by fans.
The title’s reception got increasingly worse with later iterations, but many people still play the game. But the recent news of Verdansk coming back as a map in Warzone: Mobile and rumors of Rebirth Island making a comeback also beg the question: can someone still jump in and play the first iteration of the battle royale?
Warzone 1 in 2024: Who Says No? Sadly, gamers cannot play Warzone 1 in 2024.
Unfortunately for battle royale enthusiasts who have stuck around since 2019, there isn’t a way to play Warzone 1 in 2024. Activision shut down the game when the second iteration of the free-to-play battle royale title came out in 2022.

The guns in Call of Duty change based on the game, with CoD: WWII featuring period pieces and Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare offering guns with a bit of a futuristic edge to their design. Whenever the developer decides to bring back an aspect of an older game, then that’s a moment of not just nostalgia but also happiness to use some familiar gear.
With the release of the new season for Warzone and Modern Warfare 3, we have a bunch of new gear, but also some callbacks to an older era of Call of Duty. It is now possible to get the classic Red Dot sight attachment for a new weapon that was added in the mid-season update.

Netflix is re-teaming with Sf Studios on “The Conference,” a high-concept Swedish comedy slasher film based on a novel by Mats Strandberg, one of Scandinavia’s most successful horror writers.
Patrik Eklund (“We Got This”) directed the film with a cast led by Katia Winter (“Sleepy Hollow”), Adam Lundgren (“Hilma”) and Eva Melander (“Border”).
Penned by Thomas Moldestad, the movie revolves around a team-building conference attended by municipal employees which spirals into a nightmare when accusations of corruption begin to circulate and plague the work environment. Simultaneously, a mysterious figure begins stalking and murdering the participants one-by-one.
Sf Studios, which previously delivered “Snabba Cash,” “Red Dot,” “Loving Adults” and “Ehrengard” for Netflix, is producing the film which is slated to be released globally on the streamer later this year. The shoot recently wrapped.
Strandberg is also an executive producer of film. His books have been published in over 30 countries. His successful book “The Circle,...

Each week brings new and curious VOD data: This week, “The Croods: A New Age” and “Wonder Woman 1984” — late 2020 releases, both viewable at home for almost two months, saw rebounds based on nothing more than small tweaks in availability.
The distribution business is in flux, with different patterns evolving and lessons learned. “Barb and Star Go to Vista Del Mar,” which reteams “Bridesmaids” writers Kristen Wiig and Annie Mumulo (who also star), debuted exclusively as a $19.99 Premium VOD release with placement on all charts.
Unlike Halloween and Christmas, audiences didn’t flock to romantic titles for Valentine’s Day. That could suggest couples found it a good excuse to celebrate out of the house.
“Croods” returned to #1 in theaters in its 12th weekend, and for the first time since its third week. It’s in its eighth week available at $19.99. So what happened?

Photo: ‘Red Dot'/Netflix Released February 12th, 2021 on Netflix, ‘Red Dot’ is not your typical Valentine’s Weekend flick. That being said, if you’re looking to experience a visceral, gripping adventure in the constraints of a relationship drama, you’re in the right place. A Solid Thriller Satisfying Genre Expectations ‘Red Dot’ follows Swedish couple Nadja (Nanna Blondell) and David (Anastasios Soulis) as they embark on a getaway in order to revive their relationship. With David busy with his engineering work and Nadja dedicated to her medical school studies, their relationship had been suffering for quite some time – so much so that Nadja hasn’t even told David that she’s pregnant. The two make their way to the Northern Swedish Mountains for a skiing trip, setting the stage for a romantic weekend excursion. However, while camping in the wilderness their first night, they suddenly find a red dot pointed at their tent,...

A couple of things have caught our eye in February’s Netflix UK line-up, first, the German dystopian sci-fi Tribes of Europa. After the success of sci-fi series Dark, the streaming service invested in a bunch of new German-language series, including the mega-successful historical Barbarians. Tribes was among them, and tells the story of a group of siblings in 2074, separated after a global disaster that leaves Europe riven by warring factions. Also sounding like a good time is South Korean comedy Space Sweepers, about a spaceship crew tasked with cleaning up intergalactic trash.
There’s also the arrival of Parks and Recreation in full – perfect for a lockdown rewatch, new stand-up, all of The Vampire Diaries, and Jason “It’s a megalodon” Statham in The Meg.
We’ll update this list with new arrivals as they’re confirmed.

"We have to get out of here! Run!" Netflix has debuted a full-length trailer for Swedish survival thriller Red Dot, by Swedish filmmaker Alain Darborg. The film follows a young couple taunted while camping in the snow. When Nadja becomes pregnant, David and Nadja make an attempt to rekindle their relationship by traveling to the north of Sweden for a vacation but soon their romantic trip turns into a nightmare. It's clear the "red dot" in this is just a laser pointer, likely attached to a rifle, from one of these crazy strangers. Red Dot co-stars Anastasios Soulis and Nanna Blondell as David and Nadja, with Johannes Kuhnke, Kalled Mustonen, and Tomas Bergström. This is a good tease - I'm just still wondering what happens after the flare. Who is after them and why? Only one way to find out - the film debuts on Netflix in February. Here's the...

Looking a bit like Ti West’s Trigger Man, Joel Schumacher’s Phone Booth and Ryûhei Kitamura’s Downrange, the Swedish survival thriller Red Dot is coming to Netflix just in time for Valentine’s Day. How does this relate to a romantic holiday, you ask? In the film, “David and Nadja attempt to rekindle their relationship on a romantic hiking trip to the […]...

Netflix has long since blown past the snooty preconceptions of the Hollywood elite that dubbed them as a mere streaming service, with the company currently churning out some of the most acclaimed shows on television and countless feature-length awards season contenders on an annual basis. The old guard tried to resist the inevitable paradigm shift for as long as possible, but based on both the quantity and quality of the in-house originals, Netflix can now comfortably be viewed as genuine rivals to the traditional major studios.
Of course, that takes a whole lot of investment, with close to $20 billion being funnelled into content last year, and that number only set to rise even higher. The Coronavirus pandemic may have decimated the theatrical industry, but Netflix has seen their subscriber count and viewership numbers continue to grow. Thankfully, then, a a massive number of original movies are coming to the platform this year,...
