Solar matter strikes the earth and creates zombies by changing their DNA all the same way. If bit, you get it as if it was a virus. Jim (Oliver Park ) and company try to leave London and take refuge on a farm without anyone named 'Ben" inside. There is a cemetery nearby.
Billed as science-fiction it really is your basic zombie horror. There were not any good or memorable scenes that zombie films require. Nothing special about the characters.
Guide: No swearing, sex, or nudity.

Besides the science being impossible...

I know how it is with these movies where the characters make stupid moves. But to watch all the characters just constantly making stupid moves is too much to take. I know you can't go into a gun store in Europe like in most zombie movies, but could you at least carry something more than just one hammer.
Essentially a generic (zombie) outbreak movie...

When I picked up a copy of the 2019 movie "Solar Impact" I must admit that I initially thought that I was in for a natural disaster movie. I had not expected it to be a zombie movie, so that was somewhat of a surprise. Granted, I hadn't read the movie's synopsis before popping it on, I had merely just looked at the movie's front cover.
And while "Solar Impact" proved entertaining enough, it just failed to stand out as a particularly memorable outbreak movie. How so? Well, because everything was essentially just something you already have seen in other similar movies. So writer Simon Park didn't manage to produce something new here with the script for this movie.
For a zombie movie, then "Solar Impact" was pretty much a generic movie. But at least this movie gives a cause for the outbreak. A believable one, as believable as zombie outbreaks can be, well hardly so. But hey, it proved entertaining enough for what it was.
The acting in the movie was adequate, with no particular memorable or outstanding performances to be witnessed.
As for the special effect and make-up, well that was actually good enough. Sure, it wasn't up to par with the likes "The Walking Dead" and the like. But the make-up and special effects department at least managed to lift the movie well above the usual low-budget rubbish that is out there. You know, the zombie movies where they paint people's faces gray and darken the eyes, but forget about everything else from the neck down.
"Solar Impact" was watchable for a single viewing, but this is hardly an outbreak movie that I will be returning to watch a second time. Why? Well, the storyline was just way too generic and linear for that.
My rating of the 2019 movie "Solar Impact" lands on a very mediocre five out of ten stars. It wasn't among the best of zombie movies, but luckily it wasn't among the worst either. A flat out mundane entry in the outbreak genre.

What do people want

What do people want this is not best film l have seen on the subject but it's not as bad as people are saying, yes it's cheap, the acting won't win Oscars, but it's a dam sight better the Cloverfield, the special FX are ok, not brill but ok, it looked as though London was really hit by something, it's a bit gory but so it the Walking Dead, give it a chance.
It's okay

Stupid movie with no clear storyline. Bad editing, bad cinematography, bad acting. Wasting time and money, such a disappointment. Not recommended to watch unless you need help to fall asleep fast then it might be a good idea .
Very dissapointing

A very big disgrace to the film industry, the director and everyone involved with this garbage should re-evaluate their lives.
The least you could do is delete this movie and pretend it never existed. Stop wasting your time and money on something so useless.
No effort at all.
Brit Zombie Film with Bite

Ignore the 1 of 10 reviews. I dont understand why they are there. Who writes them? Surely if you were going to waste time giving a film a 1 out of 10 you would of switched it off?
I think of the whole movie was a much better zombie film than most I can seen recently. The acting was on point, the zombies were great, cgi was impressive and I loved the camera shots. There was one part of the movie where the dialogue went out of synch for a few seconds which was a shame but other than that I thought it was a fantastic watch. It was compelling and had me on the edge of my seat. I'm rating it high because for a low budget movie I think everyone involved deserves the recognition and respect that making a movie with no budget deserves. Bravo everyone 👏
enjoyable film

I'm not sure what people want from a low budget film, the effects were great the acting good, camera a bit wobbly but you get used to it, I thought it was good, I'm glad I didnt go by the bad reviews and chose to watch it.

Stupid movie about stupid people
salleypj11 August 2021
These kids are so dumb it defies all logic. Starts off with them in coffee shop and they let an infected person in she turns and bites someone who turns but time after time it happens again but they seem to think their friend won't. They should have all died in the first 5 minutes and save viewers from watching this garbage thinking it will somehow get better. It doesn't. 100% waste of time.
One of a kind

Full of bugs. Cringe dialogue. I felt I'm watching an independent film that only could be seen in TikTok. Not suitable for big screen. Not worth to pay to watch. It might be a young inexperience writer. Anyway, good opportunity wasted. Try again, next time.
This movie giving me stroke and painful.

Story follows 4 Americans and 1 English girl trying to get away from some strange virus, delivered by meteor, that turned people into Zombies. I don't think that term was used in the movie though.
One of the American actors, Jim (Oliver Park) was the dumbest person I've seen in a movie, to the point that he's frustrating to watch, very.
All the places they visited, nobody thought to pick up a weapon, except in the last 10 minutes. The English girl, Susan (Natalie Martins), picked up a hammer earlier on the movie and was basically the bad ass with it.
The movie was ok and I would say that it's ok to watch, don't expect much and the 83 minutes felt much longer.

Solar Plexus Impact
simonhay-8637010 August 2020
Yes, because you dont realise until the movie has finished that you have been holding them tighter than a passenger on the roof of a train in India with Delhi Belly. The tightening was slow at the start, but sometimes the slower the rise of tension, the more that tension can rise. For a movie that was only 83 minutes long, the trip could have been 83 years as far as Solar tensioning goes. What can I say, other than GO SEE IT NOW!
Frustrating but decent film

Was a bit frustrating when the characters kept being dumb. Like the lady trying to find the ring from her dead boyfriend. Also standing still while your friends are turning into zombies. But I don't think the movie is as bad as some of the reviews make it out to be. Overall decent film
Beyond Ridiculous Even For A Zombie Flick
gregoryroman-8863525 July 2021
I think it's safe to say fans of zombie pictures expect a little common sense from the on-screen characters fighting and running from the walking dead. For example, it's probably not a good idea keeping a zombie in the house because it was once your wife. Nor should you ever willingly walk into a building full of zombies, or get close enough to a zombie so it can bite you, and immediately turn you into a zombie. For more guidance see "Zombieland" because you won't get it from "Solar Impact". Grade: F.
