I felt compelled to write this review having seen the other review by stuartpbottomley . Maybe if like stuart, you think the latest spider-man film is the best superhero film of all time (!!), you won't enjoy clubnite.
If, however, you enjoy something a little little bit more left-field (think vic and bob's shooting stars, James Acaster's netflix special, I don't know anything not 100% observational) then I'd bet you'll enjoy it.
I think this shows Harry Hill at his best. His entrance each week is marked by a karaoke version of various songs (so far including work by Lizzo, the Pixies, The Cure, etc) and then a short routine by Harry. He then introduces the first act, who performs for about 5-10 minutes. He has apparently picked the acts for each week himself - and it shows, there's an element of surrealism that I haven't seen elsewhere on national TV this year. One of my favourite segments is when audience members are asked to sit on a seesaw with a washing machine on the other end. If they weigh the same, the win it (but they must take it home immediately after the recording). So far, apart from episode 3 (a bit of a let down), the others have been nearly flawless. luv it
