Nancy Robertson: Wanda Dollard

Quotes

  • Wanda Dollard : Ah, this is a tough call for me. Which side should I be on? I mean generally, I dislike cable companies, but specifically, I dislike Hank.

Lacey Burrows : It's better to be specific.

  • Wanda Dollard : Strong decision, Brent. Gutsy. Oh, I don't mean, uh, guts, like 'you have a big gut'. I mean, I meant, uh, lotsa guts, but not like a big gut.

    [pauses]

Wanda Dollard : Have you lost weight?

  • [Emma, Wanda, and Lacey are discussing the kind of show they want to make]

Wanda Dollard : I've always kinda liked The View. We could do something like that.

    Lacey Burrows : Mmm-hmm.

Wanda Dollard : We could call it, um...

Emma Leroy : "The View." That's a good name.

Lacey Burrows : Nah, nah. I think the people at The View might have something to say about that.

Wanda Dollard : [scoffs]  Like I'm afraid of The View.

[cut to a lawyer in an office, there is an American flag on his desk]

U.S. Network Lawyer : [on the phone]  I'll get on it right away.

U.S. Network Lawyer : [announcing]  Linda, I have to sue some place called Sa-catch-a-jam. It's in Canada or Minnesota or something. Look it up and get them on the phone.

[cut back to the women at the Ruby, the phone rings]

Wanda Dollard : Just ignore that. We can come up with the title later.

  • [the Cable Guy has given multiple people the advice to find an opinionated and gruff Don Cherry-like personality for their shows, leading everyone to try to get Oscar to team up with them]

Oscar Leroy : [opens door]  What are you doing here?

Wanda Dollard : Don't tell Emma, but I've got a proposition for you.

Oscar Leroy : Hey, Emma and I sometimes fight but I take my marriage vows seriously!

Wanda Dollard : Not that! Oh God, not that. I wanted you to be on my show!

Oscar Leroy : Why would I be on your show? I can be on my own show.

Wanda Dollard : Because a good show needs a likeable person and a cranky one.

Oscar Leroy : And what are you going to be cranky about?
