It continues to be very watchable.

Another very good story in this fifth series, the mystery was cohesive and intriguing, Will's new relationship is interesting also, the cinema scene was good, we saw the pair becoming closer.

It was nice to see Mr and Mrs Chapman become involved in a story, they've become a little sidelined recently, just when you think all is perfect, problems arise.

Zoe Tapper was excellent here as was Paula Wilcox once again, her character is turning out to be hugely interesting. It's a shame we didn't see Will's mother this time.

Episode 5.3

Poor Hamza Jeetooa. I am sure he was pleased to be cast in a period drama but he almost got the same lines he had in his episode of Doctor Who regarding Indian partition.

Jeetooa plays Tariq Hassan who is behaving suspiciously in Grantchester. He even puts a brick through the window of the Chapmans. His father has a military medal for fighting in El Alamein. Apparently actor Laurence Fox immediately disputed if any Indian soldiers were ever there!

Tariq becomes an immediate suspect when an American projectionist is found dead in his booth. He was seen hanging around the cinema earlier.

I sensed the Chapmans marriage might hit the buffers when Mrs Chapman said what she had done to deserve her new husband.

The story of the murder was more interesting. Fantasies and broken dreams. Now that Will has a love interest, I guess the journalist is always going to be conveniently placed when the suspect owns up.

Warning: Spoilers
Will goes to a movie theater with his new reporter girlfriend. While the movie is showing, there is a screen. A man we met early on, a supposed American projectionist, is found dead in the projection booth. There is a second plot involving a young Pakastani man who becomes the suspect in this case. It leads to some complexities in breaking the case.

These horrible American accents are PAINFUL

Why do they keep using Brits with atrocious American accents. Painfully bad accents. What's wrong with just having them speak in their natural accents???

And getting sick of the "bad" Indian nonsense. Whoever these writers are need to go get a curry.
