• Revealing mistakes: During one of the last scenes involving Randy Couture's, Sargon, you can see him breathing yet he is supposed to be dead already.
  
  
• Factual errors: After Mathayus kills the Minataur who was distracted by Ari's flute playing, Ari quotes "music has charms that soothe the savage beast". The quote is actually "Music hath charms that soothe the savage breast".
  
  
• Miscellaneous: During the end credits, the cast is listed in order of character importance despite being labeled "in order of appearance".
  
  

• Anachronisms: As Mathayus is asking for his ticket to Egypt, his cloak moves and a modern Celtic design tattoo is visible on his upper left arm/shoulder.
  
  
• Continuity: Narration at the start of the original The Scorpion King (2002) takes states the story takes place 'before the time of the pyramids' yet in this prequel Layla talks about going to see the pyramids in Egypt.
