A light hearted darl comedy with an interesting take on modern life.
impeyrules-546347 January 2020
Marteen is coasting through life when he find a gun. This causes a drastic change to his personality. He become more assertive in his decision making. The character is very interesting and well portrayed. A fun light drama/dark comedy which is funny at times. An interesting take on a drifting through life.

a philosophical break

Away from the trivialities of life, a pretty dark, abrubt and quite an acidic psychological comedy, from the lowlands of europe, where Hook Van Holland isnt a fishing equipment and amsterdam are buil on straws, and where they ''spracht'' a sprache wie ein duckling am steroiden..., i thought i understood some dutch but i admit that that was a great understatement from me

back to the film, well its about a boy and a gun, a robbery and a professor, a girl called rosa and an asian boy next to a supermarket. well keywords to an unbelievable hour and 20 mins of fun, revenge and human demolision and human depravation, that may wake ressurectional feelings in every man with clogging sylinders and burned out tires in a wake of nothingness of male midlifecrisis.

its a well made, very cynical story about life in a modern society, a story that seems sewn perfect for the actors, and where the humble soles of infinite and oblivious citizens creates havoc of unthinkable proportions. the whip of goodfeel and revengeful disbelief will taste the aftermath, and maybe a sequel be made, the basement of lethal matrimony has surtainly been born.

its not a 10,9 or eight, but seven stars could describe the quality of good and maybe different filmaking from europa. the grumpy old man recommends

a teacher and the seed of his transformation
Kirpianuscus1 April 2021
More than a good dark comedy, it represents a smart exploration of the middle age crisis, the kick to a fundamental transformation and the price for this fact. A Philosophy teacher victim of a holdup. The fascination about the gun. A detective, an ex cop and his boy looking for a surgery operation for his face, a chain of events and a final remembering in some measure Quentin Tarantino. The drops remembering Dog Day Afternoon are, in same measure, significant like the relation teacher - Italian student. Short, a real good film.
