Singer in episode

Singer is Shawn Mokuahi Garnett, character is Flippa; see him on Hawaii 5-0. Enjoyed the episode and season 2. Characters are more well rounded than season 1, particularly Higgins who finally has a role. Scripts are good, a good mix of humor and drama.

well written and acted

This is one of the best written and acted Magnum episodes to date. The story is unique and very engaging as the Magnum team investigates the possibility that a college professor and author murdered two co-eds for financial and professional gain. The story unfolds in a very intriguing manner and the entire regular cast performs extremely well, particularly Jay Hernandez (who really captures the multi-faceted aspects of the Magnum character here), the always good Amy Hill (whose character, Kumu, allows herself to be used as a decoy by the HPD), and Tim Kang (as Katusmoto, revealing to the audience only a sad aspect of his personal life). Even the guest stars (Brooke Lyons, William Forsythe, Jesse Bradford, and Taylor Wily) give interesting and professional performances. All in all, extremely well-written, acted, and filmed. Holds your interest throughout.

Really?

The writing and acting on this particular episode was truly appalling. It's hard sometimes to remember, those that made the trugly awesome Hawaii Five O, made this.
