This film gently and deeply explores the lives of an eclectic community of individuals whose destinies of homelessness, recovery and a desire to live simple lives close to nature bring them together. Through witnessing and pondering the real life characters who share space on a sprawling sheep farm in rural Oregon, the directors bring to light the humanity, struggles and every day lives of these down to earth people. The film highlights the importance of animals in the healing of psychological wounding, how one man's big heart can make the difference in the lives of those in need and deftly probes the psyche of people one might otherwise judge based only on their appearance. A powerful and thought provoking film.
