Cultural labeling or K-label is an older designation in Sweden's urban and detailed plans for cultural protection of a land area or a construction work.
K-labeling is now also a commonly used term for many different types of law protection intended to protect buildings and environments of cultural historical interest. Often, the protection of the law means that a building must not be demolished or changed in such a way as to reduce the cultural-historical value. The protection of parks can mean that trees and other vegetation must not be removed and that vegetation must be managed in a certain way.
